I eat meat regularly but the veggie ramen with vegetable tempura is my go to dish here. I also love the tebasaki chicken and brussel sprout tempura!

So far it's the best ramen I've tried. I went there last night. We had the brussel sprouts, spicy miso ramen, pork bun, and the sausage appetizers. My daughter nearly ate a whole order of brussel sprouts by herself.

I'm so sad I discovered this gem as late as I did! The ambiance is very soothing with wooden tables accented by pottery made BY THE CHEF which they use for cups, side plates and ramen bowls which really brings a homey feel to the restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was incredible! I got the tempura brussel sprouts with truffle oil to start and they were so good I wanted to hit someone! Just the right amount of tempura to give the sprouts a light crunchy texture on the outside while the insides had a perfect softness. Then, I was treated to a sensory feast for the eyes and nose when my spicy miso ramen came out. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than I could have imagined. The soft boiled, flavored egg was cooked to perfection and added a great richness to the dish. I would solidly recommend this place for anyone who loves ramen or who is looking to try it for the first time!

I went there today and I was amazed. The pork bun was simple but really good. The texture was amazing between the soft steamed bun and the crispy fatty piece of pork. The Ramen was mind-blowing. I had the black truffle & steak winter special and if it's available it's a must eat. The broth with the truffle flavour together with the amazingly flavourful Steak are astonishing. The ice cream I had was also really good. The service is extremely professional and knows exactly what they do.

Although this place may seem small, but the chef’s heart is large and full. Few mosquitoes had disturbed my meal, but that couldn’t stop me from finishing up some good food. Yes, it is that good. It has that warm welcome feeling of home-cook where each dishes are selected with care, with a very reasonable price. The foods seasoning is ‘just right’, not too salty or oily as it my be seen. You should note that they do not sell alcoholic beverages, but I still enjoyed each dishes in this place!

Delicious food and I love the interior design, it seems everting from the small details to the entire store was carefully curated. The special bowl I ordered was very delicious and I was very full after having it. The pork bun was yum as well! I’m so glad that I find this place and will visit again!

amazing ramen & fried chicken... i LOVE the noodles here. I'm not the biggest fam of seafood in my broth, so I get the spicy miso ramen here. it's a very satisfying bowl. i also really appreciate the pottery here- their bowls/plates are so unique and it makes the experience even better.

Ok the exterior of this place is a little confusing and you're like, what kid painted the sign? But it is totally worth going in because the Ramen is always very high quality and the apps are delicious too. We are especially fond of the Japanese chicken wings and the pork buns. Also I LOVE the fact that you can choose small or large size ramen depending on what mood you are in- sometimes you want to eat some other things and not be in a coma from a giant bowl of ramen but you want a little!

Shuya Cafe De Ramen, which is located in Astoria, is one of the candidates of 2018 NY Ramen Contest and we have had it on our bucket list for a while. The decor is humble, simple and bright with cozy ambiance & artsy furniture, which were collaborated with designers & being sold there. Their seating is limited but the wait wasn’t bad even on a Friday night. There were not various options on the menu but pretty decent with daily specials, which would be posted on their Instagram. We had Brussels Sprout Tempura, Garden Salad, Shuya Ramen and Assari Yuzu Shio Ramen Everything was delicious and our favorites were the Brussels sprouts which was crispy & flavorful and the Yuzu Ramen which the broth was refreshing & light with plenty of ingredients.

The best ramen in NYC— period! The broth alone is just the most flavorful I’ve ever had anywhere. Perfect low key spot for a cozy dinner/lunch. Try the wings— they’re also amazing ❤️

This place is fantastic. It's very cozy, with a warm atmosphere, despite what the pictures of the location may look like. I felt well accommodated. The FOOD was phenomenal. Seriously, I had no idea it was gonna be as good as it was, but it was almost unreal. Broth was creamy, rich, and deep with accents of full flavors. Everything about the food is what will have me coming back; only reason I'm rating 4 stars is because they don't serve liquor. (apparently it's BYOB, but call to reconfirm. If so, I'll bump this review to five stars, lol.)

We ordered brussel sprouts tempura, clam ramen and tan tan men. All of them were tasty! Brussel sprouts' flavor goes well with tempura! It's not a Japanese traditional menu but it's really good Clam ramen is very light. Yuzu flavor is good. Wanted more salt. Tan tan men is no soup style. Very good. It comes with runny egg which makes spicy miss milder... Yum
