This is by far the best place for Italian food... the pizza just has that perfect cheese to sauce ratio, the chicken parm just melts in your mouth and the spaghetti just feels so great with that sauce. On top of that top notch attention that makes you feel you are in a family home rather than a restaurant, definitely owe it to yourself to go here

One of the best old Italian foods in Astoria you can find a place like this anymore. The food is really good no complaints. The people working here very kind. The atmosphere is kinda dead which I’m shocked since the place is really nice and the food really good. I would most definitely recommend this place. Btw the prices are very reasonable

This place my friend Emil took me to . Its reminds me of my great grandmas house ! The salad was fresh and the chicken franchise was cooked to perfection. The chicken parm with fries on the side was so delicious and good ! This place has charm ! The owner and server was extremely friendly. The food is beyond fresh ! I cant wait to go back soon . I even took a chicken dinner to go home with !

My mom would walk me and my two brothers to death up and down Steinway street and our reward for being good was to sit down and feast on a large cheese pizza and those cold colorful drinks out of the fountains, memories. This was back in the early 70s.

Marie was a jem as our waitress & Nick the owner was very friendly and accommodating to our group of nine from Chicago. It was our first day in Queens & one of our first stops for food. They made us feel welcome just like family. Marie entertained us with her humor and we left laughing & hugging- now that's what I call Italian hospitality! Thank you, we will visit again when we are back in town!

Opened in 1958, Gaudio's is your neighborhood pizza parlor that makes a solid slice and some comforting Italian food. It is a family business where regulars like to meet for lunch or dinner in an area that has changed since it opened. We spoke with the manager, Nick, who, with his cousin Dominic, who is also the owner, runs he show. I liked what he said:

Money wins again.. Well it's very SAD! Villa Guadio owner has filed lawsuits against the Town of Crawford for allowing a small hot dog stand that serves home made smoked ribs, chicken and such, to operate ACROSS the street in a neighboring produce stand's parking lot. What a bully! He not only has officially succeeded, but in the process has put a veteran out of business. I can't even describe in words how deplorable I think this is. I, for one, and many others I know, will NEVER order a thing from his restaurant, as well we will share this story with everyone we know. What a terrible, greedy man!

I just ordered food and while it tastes pretty good it's not what I ordered. The guy that answers the phone is always in a rush and I just knew he or the kitchen would screw up my order. So they decided to jack up there prices, which seems like a bi-monthly occurrence at this place. I like the food, it's always consistent, but I called them after a delivery because I ordered the penne with garlic and oil on the side. Usually it actually comes on the side. But they made it with garlic and oil and put it on too of the veal ala gaudios. What a joke. So they raised their prices, decided to skimp on the delivery tins, and ruined my dinner. Thanks Gaudios. I won't order from here ever again, and if you're reading this, I wouldn't bother ordering either. The guy on the phone was like Ohh sorry. Well I am not sorry for leaving this review. You suck!
