Easy to miss hole in the wall but the owner makes the freshest, tastiest pita and shwarmas in all of Queens. The vegetables are SO fresh. Meat is tender and he even makes his own hummus and the portions are ginormous. 10/10. The gentleman who owns this place is wonderful.
In my slice of heaven, there would be a pita Hot! The food is so good. The people are so nice and the food is fresh. I’m sitting outside the Pita hot, eating my food and enjoying the day. It’s too tiny to sit inside, but they do have a couple of tables outside. If you go, you’ll enjoy the food And the people

Had plenty of falafel sandwiches in NY over the years and I don’t remember any of them being as exceptional as Pita Hot’s. Each ingredient taste fresh and has a desirable flavor that’s tasty and decadent. If you’re in the area please give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Looove the lamb shank and they are nice. Have only gotten takeout.
Edit: not sure if they still make lamb shank but went again and had a chicken platter. Sat down to eat at the little table they have and it was soooo good. Their tea is the best. It tastes like the tea I had at a luxury spa in another country. Sometimes I stop by just to get tea. They are always so welcoming.
I had the lamb shank special and it was one of the best meals i've ever had. the guy at the counter is really nice and all the food there is made with love. he makes you feel welcomed and shows his gratitude.
Khaled and the crew at Pita Hot sure know how to cook and make you feel welcome. The traditional specials I tried -- lamb mallow leaf stew and yellow lentil soup -- were better than maybe 99% of the most delicious home cooked meals. The heartiness of meat and the lentils were balanced just so with a punch of tart lemon juice. If I had gotten jerrycan-sized take-away containers, I would have probably just kept right on eating until I floated away. Ridiculously good! And the fava bean sandwich, with all its accompaniments, is so richly spiced and textured you'll want one for breakfast and another at lunch. I can't wait to come back and try every single other thing on the menu. It takes a superhuman level of effort to prep this menu fresh daily, and to add from-scratch specials on top of that requires the passion of an artist really dedicated to their craft. Eat here and be happy! Plenty of vegan options too!
Oh my god, don’t know how I never bothered to come here but first time, ordered grape leaves platter, samosas, fava bean side, and shawarma+gyro platter
Everything is AMAZING and so fresh! The owner was so nice he kept feeding us samples while we waited. This is the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had.
Everything is lovely! Food is delicious and they have options for different types of diets. The service is great and everyone is incredibly nice. 👌🏼
