Family wanted to try some Salvadoran food. My wife found this spot, so we headed over to Queens. The staff was nice. Drinks were pretty good. the Large size of the drinks were $28, kinda pricey, when we go back probably skip the drinks but the food was really good. atmosphere is nice. the inside of the restaurant is small. they have an enclosed patio were we sat thats heated. so it wasn't bad. recommend reservations on weekends atleast it you dine in. would def go back for the Pupusas.
If you've not tried this spot you've done your taste buds a disservice! We had 4 adults and a 4 yr old and we sat at the outdoor picnic table. We ordered so much it filled the table haha. I will have to say my favorite was the Pupusa loca !! I ordered the surf n Turf and it was tender juicy and shrimp were perfect! The wait staff was super friendly and helpful!! Overall we all had a fantastic time.
This was the best place I ever tasted this unbelievable PUPUSAS. The service was right one, no rush, Alejandro the waiter is the best. My food was so fresh (Chicken)
and hot. 💖.
I’ve been here more times then I can count and I love it here so much! The owner is such a sweet and beautiful women and the staff is always friendly! Great place to come for drinks and great Salvadorian food. I love the pupusas and could eat like 5 of them as a meal! It’s also super close to the subway so it’s convenient for me to get to and there is a metered parking lot right next to the restaurant if you are driving.
I'm Puerto Rican, and my husband is Mexican. We were in the mood for some Salvadoran pupusas and came across this restaurant. Definitely a 10/10. Our server was Carlos, and he was very attentive and polite. Great customer service!
Amazing place!!! Drinks were delicious. The pupusas were by far one of the best ive had. The service was over the top! Def coming back here! If you want good food and drinks def come here i had such a blast
Come here ready to eat!!! Everything we ordered was delicious without any complaints. If you have a large party it takes a minute to prepare every dish but the food comes out fresh at the same time.
My family and I went on a Saturday afternoon. We made a reservation for 4pm. Saturdays are busy, so make a reservation!!!! otherwise you may not get seated at all. The place is not huge, but they have outside seating. We spent about an hour and 15min there. We waited a bit for a waiter, but the place was busy, so it is understandable. We got the dirty horchata drinks (whiskey was better than the rum one). A bit small but they were tasty. We also ordered Pupusas de queso and chorizo, and another one with shrimp. Two of those will fill you up, but I didnt go there to eat just two. Ha! We ordered the Tipoco 3 with scrambled eggs with steak and rice was just plain delicious. We also ordered pechuga salteada which is a big portion. We didn't order any dessert bc we just didn't have any space left. Overall we spent about $160 for 3 adults and 1 kid. Quick note, for parties of 4 or more, they add a 20% tip automatically to the check. Overall, food was tasty, service was good. I highly recommend it!
Wonderful ambiance and top tier service! The pupusas are absolutely the star of the menu and you can’t go wrong with any of them, they are hot, savory and delicious!
My one unfortunate gripe is that the rest of the food items didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the clam and shrimp ceviche and seafood soup under their specialties menu. The soup was flashy in presentation but lacking substance and difficult to eat with a small shelled crab. There was just one clam in the entire soup and really not much else other than a poached egg and a couple pieces of shrimp. The broth was great, but it cost a lot (about $30) and I was expecting more seafood. The ceviche was mostly tomato and onion and also not much seafood. Will give it another try at some point, but I recommend sticking to pupusas and drinks, which were phenomenal! Highly recommend this place for authentic Salvadoran food, but would stick to the more popular items recommended.
Great spot to spend a happy hour and grab some drinks and small bites. The restaurant was packed when we went but got seated after 10 minutes. The papusas were great as were the drinks. Be warned, a 20% tip is automatically added as is a extra charge for credit cards. After paying, they didn’t include the itemized copy of the receipt so I couldn’t double check this. Would come back again though!
