Small cozy restaurant with a sushi bar area. We got a "Love boat for 2" which came with around 20 pieces of sashimi, 10 pieces of sushi and 2 rolls if I remember correctly ($48). Food was generally alright but nothing to write home about.

I have had multiple take out, delivery and dine in experiences here. The food is always prepared with care and in a timely manner. The sushi is good quality and with prices about average, this spells out a good deal! Atmosphere is that of a typical sushi place. Staff is super friendly.

Great sushi. We ordered the sushi regular as well as the sushi deluxe and both were excellent. The rolls are well made and the wasabi tasted very fresh. A salad comes with the order but it was just the typical iceberg lettuce with a vaguely spicy dressing. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the subdued lighting creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely a good place for dinner!

A fine sushi spot in my opinion. I would give it 3.5 but am rounding up. Inexpensive and pretty good quality fish! I've been here a few times mostly for takeout but finally had a sit down dinner tonight. My boyfriend and I both had sushi. He had the yellowtail scallion, spicy tuna, and salmon skin hand rolls. They are shaped like comes and have way more fish than rice, but I prefer the traditional rolls because I think the portion is actually larger. Don't know if that's actually true though. Anyway, I had traditional rolls made of salmon and avocado, eel, and spicy tuna. I felt like the eel was a little two fatty, but the other rolls were great.

My husband and I truly love this place. Our server (Annie) always welcome us with a big smile and the daily specials. The food is great and we can not image going anywhere else for sushi around Astoria.

Not the best sushi on the planet by any means but the food is consistent and tasty, staff is super warm and friendly and prices aren't too terrible. Great free sake or wine specials! $15 spent per person gets you a free drink.

Coolest fkn waitress I have ever had, and I eat at the Waldorf and four seasons. She was amazing. The food is worth more than you pay. I had the dumplings, miso soup, and three raw rolls, all delicious, and free sake😊

A great place. The sushi is perfectly fresh. All of the food is delicious. The fried tofu appetizer was especially memorable. And I don't even like tofu! GREAT service.

The most amazing shushi ever. Delicious shushi and shashimi. Pure and delicious sake. Matsu Shushi is a place that you must visit for an explosion of taste. The seaweed salad is fresh and crispy.
If you are looking for real great authentic shushi this is the place you want to be!!!!!!!!

Consistently good sushi. We usually get the avocado roll, spicy salmon, and pork gyoza. The restaurant has a cute, tranquil atmosphere as well.

Really great deal for some good American sushi. Lunch sushi specials and then maki combos available for dinner~ sushi chefs and waitresses are also super friendly :) fast delivery too!

I love this place they always have fresh food ... they have a beautiful way of displaying the food presentation is 90% ... actually went great service and if you're going for a snack they can be very reasonable ... I love to sit at the bar and watch the chef make the sushi ... this place is great for friends, great for date night and great for family to sit around a table and have a nice conversation , no loud music, good place to have conversation, I love conversation + sushi, I love Matsu
