Review Prince Tea House - Astoria

Very cute aesthetic and ambiance. Came in with a group of 6 and didn't need to wait for a table! All of the drinks and desserts were wonderful and shareable. Prices are very affordable and most drinks are under $10. One of our party ordered hot tea and it came in the cutest little teapot with a heat source underneath to keep the temperature up.

My friend and I absolutely loved this place! The decoration is amazing, the atmosphere very relaxing and the staff very friendly (the store is very clean, too). They have a wide variety of tea, milk tea, iced tea etc. I had the Katsu Chicken Sandwich which tasted great and the Black Iced Tea with Peach. My friend got a waffle- we were both very pleased. Definitely coming back to try their desserts 🥪🍰

Prince Tea House is one cute and fancy place to hang out and honestly the price was also very affordable. They have alot of tea option which I wanted to try. At first, me and my friend wanted to order variety of tea but when asked their we got to know that their one pot would give almost 4 cups so we sticked with one pot. Dessert were also awesome and their appetizers were yummy. I would definitely love to go to this place time and again to explore more of their tea options and their dessert. Highly recommend!

Occasion: meeting friends, reunion. Pros: amazing experience. Great tea house. Lots of options. Best desserts I’ve ever had. Love the cutlery. Just amazing. Best customer experience you will receive at any cafe. Very friendly staff. Very child friendly. Cons: very busy. Long wait. You have been warned. So please book ahead of time. Is a little small. A little $$ at times. Bottom line: just awesome place to go for whatever occasion. It’s a hidden gem. I can’t wait to go back. Love it! Each branch is different, in decor and size.

I've never been to a Prince Tea and I wasn't thinking of ordering tea. I actually came for ice cream. The red bean Ice cream sounded unappetizing so I sticked with the basics. Chocolate, vanilla and green tea. None of them are overly sweet so they're well balanced and they definitely extinguished my craving. But out of the three, the vanilla is the sweetest. The sizes are smallest but three scoops for 5$ is worth it. I will try the tea next time or their cool refreshers - subscribe to stay updated.

Beautiful afternoon tea-time awaited me this past Sunday! Three of us got together to celebrate a beloved friend’s birthday. We did have a wait and learned when we got there that we could have joined the waitlist online on Yelp. When seated, we were served quickly. The bathroom is clean. All of the staff I encountered was friendly and helpful. Our bill, pictured here, was very fair. The food was delicious! I really recommend the rose milk tea. I loved it!

Very beautiful place. The teas were great... lavender was my favorite. The desserts were so delicious! They also serve brunch at this spot. The chicken and waffles were great and so is the avocado toast! A great experience!

Amazing service and courteous staff. Definitely the place to go to feel cozy and relaxed. Great selection of teas, desserts, and savory options. They even have a brunch menu from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm. I would definitely return! I suggest going during the brunch hours if possible to avoid the rush hours in the evening.

-Met my gf / wife here on our first date. Really sweet special place. -Somewhat expensive prices but really nice decor and nice ambiance. -They play good music and it's always busy. Really nice place for wine, tea, desserts, or some light bites. -Spacious place.

First and only time i’ve been to Prince Tea House was a couple of weeks ago with a friend. We went for dessert-tea. We got an iced tea and a french toast with fruits and ice-cream on top. We followed the waitress advice and it was very good. We also enjoyed the vibe and the set up of the place!

I like this place a lot, it’s very chill. Awesome to have a good talk with your friends and sip some tea ! They have great flavors, I love the Tropical Tea ( mango, passion fruit, guava) flavor. They have some good desserts too. The only thing I would say there needs to be some work on is staff, very important to have them focus on customer service. They are already nice but more detailed oriented towards service would be good. Like, making sure to go back to the table and ask if food and drinks is good and also have someone at the front door at all times to receive people and sit them in a promptly time. Overall great place !

This is a very cute tea house. In addition to a large selection of tea, they have sandwiches and desserts. I tried the purple yam mille crepe cake, it was very light and refreshing. The sweetness of the cake is very subtle so it pairs well with the tea.

Heard some good things about this place so decided to visit it. They follow COVID guideline for indoor seating so it's safe to visit. We ordered some Prince Fruit Paradise which tasted amazing and fruity. Got the Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crepes Cake, it was really good as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would visit again soon.

JUST AMAZING!!!! If you haven't tried this place I recommend 100% you must try it, this is not only a dessert store but they have sandwiches and tea, some of the most amazing desserts you'll find here and the price is so reasonable anyone can afford it so so cheap actually, you finish off 10$ and you'll ne full !!

Amazing environment even though it's very small place. Most amazing thing is they have more than 25 types of tea. You should check it out. There NY style cheese cake was awesome.

We are looking for a place to hang around after Friday night dinner and searched google for dessert place and/cafe and realized there is a Prince Tea House on Steinway Street in Astoria. This really caught me by surprised and never expected there is a Prince Tea House in Astoria. We got there after 8pm and no line at all. We tried other locations of Prince Tea House in Brooklyn, and Flushing and this tea house is great for friends meetup and dating. Nicely decorated with simply color and greens and you feel very comfortable. Prince Tea house offered a good variety of tea to choose from and a handful of savory and sweet menus. We came for desserts and we ordered Fruit Tea, a Rose Black Tea and a Tin Guan Yin for the drinks and Tiramisu, a melted chocolate cakes and a sweet yam soufflés which is a seasonal special. I also saw a yam crepe as another seasonal treat but we are so full and did not order. The yam Soufflé takes about 20 minutes to come and it is freshly made and taste better than I expected. If you are looking for a place to hang around for an hour or two, Prince Tea house is worth to go.

The hot mocha was good, just lacked a lil sugar and the apple crumble pie was really good. Highly recommend this place. Tons of different types of hot and cold tea drinks and some good snack choices as well. Update 10/2021: While I do frequent this establishment one thing that just happened the other day I do not find correct. I had lunch with a friend yesterday and we asked for the bill and while they do suggest 18%, 20%, and 23% tips on the bottom of the receipt, I didn’t feel they deserved said amount for tip. While the service was ok and the bill came out to $55, I left a $6 tip. Most will see that as a low tip, I would agree. But our tea warmer lasted about ten minutes before it turned off and it took them a while to get us a new one, they forgot in the beginning to get us two tea warmers for our teas, and our sandwich orders took very long to arrive when the restaurant wasn’t packed. Still, even with all that, maybe the tip was too low, but that is my decision to make. What I didn’t appreciate was the server comes back after taking my signed receipt and asks why I left $6 and that the suggested amounts were listed on the bottom of the receipt to help me decide on an amount. I told her that the tip I left is the correct amount and thanked her. As I was leaving, she was pulling the same stunt on another customer except that customer changed their tip to the demand of the server. I do not appreciate being told what tip I should leave. Nor felt obligated to leave a certain amount. I am the paying customer and I will decide based on my experience of the day. No server should be going back to the customer and asking for more.

Omg this place is amazing. So many choices for teas. Awesome desserts. Amazing staff. Super cute interior. This place is super instagram worthy. Get rose lover tea when you visit this place. Almost all the deserts are to die for. The service is fast and on point. Love this place. Definitely recommend for tea lovers and instagram worthy pictures. Try them out

This place deserves more stars...is the perfect kind of tea salon to have a delicious tea and handmade desserts. Great atmosphere, beautiful deco. But the service...not good. The attitude of the hosts and waitresses is not very focussed on providing the costumers a great experience. Which doesn't match with all of the other carachteristics of the place.

This place is beautiful and the Rose milk tea is one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. It took about 30 minutes to be seated, 15 to get our tea and treats, and then about 45 minutes to finally flag someone down for our check. Don't be like us, chase a server down when you're ready to go! The pick three desserts is a great deal, get the eclair and thank me later.

Can't really go wrong going to this cafe. Food is good and the tea is awesome. Great atmosphere and a nice, romantic spot to bring your date. The workers are nice and the place itself is so creative. If you do go, you have to try the Rose Milk Tea. My favorite and I don't think I'll ever like any other milk tea after having this.

Don't let its beauty disguises you. At 85th Street & 21 Ave, Management is unbelievably incompetent esp if you have a big party like 6, you will never get a table. We waited an hour and all they did was give away smaller tables to party of 2 when they could simply push the tables together for us. Hey, what happens to "first come, first served" (when it's their policy)??? All you would get was another 10 mins and another 10 mins. All I can say about this place is faulty policy, bad and incompetent management and long wait. NO RESERVATION taken as well. Forget about even trying the food. đź‘Žđź‘Žđź‘Ž

The tea is definitely high quality, the place is super cute and trendy, great spot for some light bites and the best tea you've ever had.

I loved the place because of the ambience. It is a very instagram-able place and everything just felt so calm in a world or city that doesn't sleep. The teas are made with real flowers from what I can tell and it's absolutely amazing. Great service, too.

The host and waitresses disgusted me although the deserts, drinks and decoration are great. Yesterday, I took my mother and mother-in-law there. The way they looked at elderly people was really something. The way they behave was unpleasant. I want to rate five star for food and deco but no..no..

Can't wait to go back. It's an absolute gem. The tea was probably the best I've ever had & my eleven year old loved it as well.

Service was ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! Their tea was really bitter. As an avid tea drinker it shouldn't have been "that" bitter. And when asked if they could do something to make it less bitter or make a new pot, it was done reluctantly. A few of the items we ordered weren't in stock. Everyone else at my table got their dessert except me. So after 15 minutes go by we asked the waitress where my dessert was and she replied "Oh it's not in stock." So I replied "So when were you going to tell me this?" And she was just like "Well we don't have it" and walked away without asking me if I'd like to see a menu to order something else. So after another 10 minutes go by we flag her down to get a menu. Waitress was rude and inattentive. I definitely won't be returning. I'll stick to The Witches Brew and Chat Noir - thanks! Oh and because of the awful service they ONLY got a 15% tip which was generous considering their service! They had the audacity to chase us out of the place demanding a bigger tip! They're lucky they got a tip at all! F**K this place!

Loved the ambiance and dessert! The service was excellent as well!
