Hero Thai & Izakaya - Astoria - Photo album

We were looking for a good spot for dinner on Broadway. We decided to check out this Thai and Asian spot. I ordered the ramen that has the coconut milk base and let me tell you that this was out of this world!!! So much flavor, I've never had such a sweet and savory ramen before. I love this place!!
10 out of 10 out of 10. Just look at the food. Immaculate. Thai/Japanese inspired menu. Food was so good and affordable. Worth a try. Service on par. So happy this exist in Astoria.
I LOVE the food here. It's a fusion of Japanese and Thai food. We ordered the aburi-shime saba, beef/bacon ninniku, and chili garlic pasta. I also ordered a cocktail, the manago colada. The saba, ninniku, and pasta were MUST tries. They all are so good. The garlic pasta was chewy like lo mein. It wa
Japanese and Thai options. Food is good and light. I went for a quick lunch in a Friday afternoon and I had pan-fried octopus balls for appetizer (very rich), grilled salmon with spice curry sauce and lychee sangria. Place is not crowded and staffs are friendly and quick to help.
I have gotten takeout here several times in only two weeks and I am amazed at the quality, quantity, and variety of the food. One of the best Thai places I’ve been lucky enough to order from, with a ton of other great east and southeast Asian specialties - all very reasonably priced. Highly recomme
Hero Thai has a trendy, relaxed Asian vibe to it. And it's conveniently one block away from the subway. Surprisingly, it's very rarely crowded. The staff is super friendly. They were patient enough to answer questions I had about their menu. I noticed that they recently changed up the menu and pric
Pretty good. Wouldn't say this is my favorite thai restaurant in Astoria, but you can be guaranteed a quick yummy bite here. No frills and good portions for not to expensive a price. I had the chicken red Thai curry and my husband had basil fried rice. We shared the fried ice cream for dessert.
So good!!! Thank you GrubHub for the free mush lunch today for under $3 for two. Me and the misses utilized todays free lunch promotion to try out this Queens Find. It was worth it in every way. the food was prepared perfectly and presented at the door when I arrived. The flavors are amazing here
Great food, good scenery, and awesome service. The hot Thai tea is my girlfriend’s absolute favorite, a must try - she ordered 2 and then another one for take out... LOL. Everything was great!
Delicious, authentic Thai food and great service.
Eating here made my whole day... where to start.. the Halloween decor and koi fish were fun to look at, the music was fun and at a perfect volume playing EDM remixes of rock songs that fit the mood perfectly meanwhile the food is savory and delicious. My Tom kha soup w a little chili oil and flakes
Good service the waitress is very nice and attentive. The food is very good. Thai fusion and Japanese style. Cool decorations. But the food portions are pretty small.
Chicken Massaman curry is amazing! Simple, but everything cooked well, texture and time of the vegetables, crunchy peanut, soft chicken and decent portion and price. Loved!
Small and cozy restaurant in Astoria with friendly service, polite staff and tasty food. You can't go wrong eating here during lunch time with their lunch menu prices.
I love Hero! I used to visit in person often when I worked close by. Now a days I order it home. The food is always fresh and consistent. The Mango Sticky rice is my guilty pleasure :)
Did not even take pictures of the appetizers because it was that good. Had the stir fried beef appetizer and papaya salad (both delicious). We also had the Thai inspired ramen and Japanese curry with chicken katsu. Both good. Service was good.
Enjoyable meal, nice environment, good service, generous portions. My one suggestion would be to ask your server about the spice level of the dishes since they may be higher than expected.
Really nice place everything is good. Plus your bill is cheaper if you pay cash I didn't even know that. Plus the decor is nice and a tip to you. The frog in that tank is alive lol.
