Yaya's Bakery - Astoria - Photo album

This is a really nice bakery offering tradtional Geek sweets, savory pies and village type bread. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘ I really liked their sweet Custard pie ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ ( Galaktobouriko) & the Bougatsa that isn't so sweet. ๐Ÿ˜‹ Actually, this bakery reminds me of typical, old fashioned bakeries you find in villages around Gree
This is probably the best bakery in the area for pastries. Although there are quite a few in Astoria. This is where I would send someone if they wanted to sample Greek desserts, especially baklava. Al-Sham on Steinway would be a good option for the Arab version. Theyโ€™re very nice people as well.
Minority woman-owned bakeshop which I highly support and recommend. We got loukoumades (fried doughnuts with honey and cinnamon) and galatobeoureko (custard baked in filo). First time to have both and love them! We will come back to try their baklavas. I am sure they are as heavenly.
Fantastic bakery with insanely delicious selection of cookies, pastries, and Baklava. Coffee is great too.
I got several items because of the card minimum $10, Tres Leches cake, rum bun, leek pie, and baklava. I recommend the rum bun which was more than I expected. It was huge, soft texture with good smell and taste. The cake got caramel on the top and it was good. The baklava only got a strong honey tas
Ah, the smell... the stuff looked amazing. I only had some of the special cookies and they were great. The little creme sandwich with the cake cookies on the outside was kind of disappointing, but who cares.
First time coming here. I tried the rice pudding and the bread pudding (pictured). The rice one was ok. BUT DAMN! That bread pudding was everything! The top wasn't too hard, just easy enough you can break it with a spoon. Best one I've had so far, top notch! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I've gotta go back try their other n
Delicious homemade desserts. My wife and I have been coming here for years for the teramisu. Baklava is fantastic as well. Can't go wrong with any of the many choices. Big respect to the owners. I highly recommend this local shop!
What a Great small genuine โ€œ Greek โ€œ owned local small business. I love going into places like this. Yaya herself works there in front of hot stove, kneading and baking Greek bread and Pastries. I got greek style turnover like cheese pie which is delish. I got baklava from her as well. I must say
Whatever you get here, you need to add the baklava, some of the best I've ever had
First time going, it wonโ€™t be my last! I bought the tiramisu cake & almond cookies. Both were 10/10. The best cookies and tiramisu Iโ€™ve had ever. I will be going back very soon!! ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿฅฎ
Top tier bakery, quiet mom and pop shop right off the subway. Muffins are next level and the donuts with the greek sugar cannot be missed.
I popped in one day a few months ago to get a sourdough starter after I killed mine. My request was weird and atypical but everyone there in the shop wanted to make sure I got what I needed. I walked out with a half dozen of the most amazing eclairs I've had. An Astoria gem. Yaya's is a treasure.
A phenomenal Greek bakery right by the train. Perfect to grab something and go or to get a large portion for parties. Very friendly and familial atmosphere. Everything is homemade and fresh.
Very yummy food and cashier was super nice! My first time coming here and definitely won't be my last :)
Easily the best baklava Iโ€™ve ever had. Huge hit at a dinner party I brought them to
