Very cute spot to grab breakfast/brunch. You can dine in or take your order to go. The service was friendly, the food was great, and I would love to come back soon.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast. The food arrived promptly, but the atmosphere was distant. We had to scan, order, and pay without any interaction with staff. The waiter asked how everything was from another table. If you enjoy a quick and lonely meal, this is the place for you. If you would like to engage in conversation and ask for advice on the menu, you may feel like I did, that it was missing a personal touch.
The ordering system here is really impersonal and annoying. You pay for your meal before it's even cooked and the interaction between staff and patrons is therefore minimal. This holds back the experience a bit for me.
With that being said, the food has generally pretty good in the few times I've come here. Brunch is generally fresh and filling. Can't say I'll be back on a weekly basis, but here and there this is a nice space to make a trip to.
This place has been a go to brunch spot for me for a while now. Usually there's a weekend spot available if you get here early enough, but they fill up quick. Ordering is done via QR codes on your phone and then food is brought to your table number. It's a little awkward the first time, but I've grown to like the 'order at your own pace'. This place has the standard diner style menu, meaning they have everything and more. If I had to categorize the food I'd go with Mexican Diner Brunch. If those words resonate with you then you'll easily love this place. I've had 30 different things and everything's delicious. Stop by Two Coves Community Garden afterwards to walk off your meal.
I had breakfast here with friends and it delivered. The grilled cheese with the tomato soup was great.
John took excellent care of us. He communicated really well and checked in to make sure everything was as it should be.
The menu is extensive and there is something for vegetarians and vegans.
It did take a little effort to order as everything is online and the process wasn't entirely clear. That's more on me than on them though. It's really easy when you figure it out.
Delicious breakfast spot with a chill vibe. Great for a sunny morning after a walk. The pancakes don’t look the best but trust me they are delicious!
Wonderful place for breakfast, lunch, drinks, and online ordering. By having customers place their own orders, staff is focused on quality and cooking. Great drinks, food, and service. Classic NY eating experience with an authentic feel.
Great brunch spot, come hungry! The chicken biscuit sandwich comes with two pieces and elote fries feel like they are never ending. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits, so rich and creamy. You’ll want to mop your bowl clean with the biscuit.
I’m not a big fan of the order on your phone, pay, then food is delivered but that’s just my personal opinion. I prefer to chat with the wait staff and get some perspectives. I’m sure if I wanted to chat I could have asked the staff. The staff was friendly and the food and drinks were amazing!!
We spent a couple of days in NYC with a circle of friends and we lived around the corner, so the place was ideal to start day with a good breakfast. We returned every morning and tried out several types of breakfast, all the six of us were satisfied, so it is definitely a good place!! Do not miss it if you are in Astoria.
