Via Vai - Astoria - Photo album

Absolutely great. The wood fired pizza was crispy on the bottom and had the perfect amount of substance to the dough. I often find this style of pizza can become too floppy when the dough is too thin, but this had the perfect balance of being delicate and thin, but still having a body that holds th
The perfect balance of comfort food and elegance in an unassuming part of Astoria. A must visit if you’re a local. And if you’re not, stop in anyway. I can’t imagine anyone not loving the food and wanting to come back again and again.
The food was delicious. All our pasta dishes were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also love the meatballs (I ate everything before the picture). The service was a little slow, but we didn’t mind it; we had a great time.
I had a great experience at Via Vai! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the service was attentive throughout my meal. The salmon tartare was a highlight of the meal, with fresh and delicious flavors that left me wanting more. The pappardelle with lamb and asparagus was also quite tasty, with a

One of Astoria's best kept secrets. Seriously, have rarely ever had burrata as good as the one I enjoyed there. Prosciutto was excellent as well. I could tell they use very high quality ingredients. The bread is WONDERFUL too! Can't recall any single dish that missed the mark.
Five stars all around. Came for my birthday and was given excellent service. The salmon tar tar was incredible as well as the beef short rib with polenta. Ate every bite and craved more!
This restaurant has legit Italian food and taste. The food is delicious and definitely high quality. This store is pretty expensive, but it's worth the price. Even the employees were Italian, and the owner was extremely kind. We ordered calamari, pizza, and the meatballs. The service was very fast.
This is a jewel of Astoria and beyond. Food is excellent. Chef Tony is a culinary genius. The way he prepares branzino. Pizza. The dough. They have the best espresso I have had since landing 23 years ago on this side of the Pond. I’ve been there since 2018 or 2019…50 times, maybe. Here is something
Delicious food, warm atmosphere and a good wine list. Highly recommend for a girls night out, a date night, or as a spot to take your parents or friends when they come to town
Beautiful small italian place in Astoria I had the pasta ravioli .. and it was such a satisfying dish. Highly recommended
What an amazing find! This restaurant was wonderful. Not only was the food amazing and well priced the wait staff went over and beyond for us. They made us a hot chocolate that should be added to the menu. I can't wait to go back.
Love the white base pizza with porcini mushrooms and white truffle oil. The dough was thin and crispy!
Extremely grateful to Chef Antonio, and our severs Samantha and Alkis. They hosted our daughters christening with the best Italian food, warmth, and love. Looking forward to getting dinner there soon without the kids!
Sat at the bar and had a nice glass of Syrah. The homemade bread that comes out with the olive oil is divine. It's warm, soft in the middle with a little crunch on the outside. I ordered the orrechiette with sausage and a broccoli rabe pesto. A very light dish, the hazelnuts were a nice compliment,
