Djerdan - Astoria - Photo album

For someone who lives four-hour flight from the nearest burek shop, this was a literal dream come true. That burek was more than correct, even though slightly different in its structure to what I am used to (microregional differences). The Turkish coffee, traditionally served, tested like nostalgia.
Me and my classmate went there to try something new. It is the first time I had the burek. Also ordered a big pita with patty inside. Nice experience. Reasonable price. We also saw many old customers in and out. It means we found a right authentic place! 5 stars.
I got the stuffed cabbage & mashed potatos and chicken soup. so good and different from the hungarian and polish style stuffed cabbage i usually have. will be back for more.
Beautiful ambient, very pleasant staff and great food. Homemade yogurt highly recommend
Excellent burek and cepavi. Selection of Balkan beers and wines. Very nice garden with outdoor seating in the back. Skip the Russian salad though - too watery with too much mayo.
Cevapi, mixed platter and burek. The food is really good here. I don't recommend the meat burek because there is very little meat in it but the cvapi is delicious. It's salty and has a different flavor.
The burek and cevapi are phenomenal. We also loved the back patio. They are a great option for a low key dinner with friends when it's nice out. Prices are very reasonable!
Lovely family owned Bosnian restaurant offering yummy burek and local dishes (cevapi), even Bosnian coffee. We enjoyed the food and the experience reminded us of our recent trip to Bosnia. We bought frozen burek to bake at home too.
Just amazing food and super sweet staff. I got food for take out for a central park picnic and they packed everything nicely. We got cevapi that were made to perfection, as well as burek with cheese and meat, and a salad. This was enough for 6 people and we had a lot of leftovers. Cant wait to c
Burek Spinach slice was dry. But, meat slice was good as expected. Only thing that was strange is the slices were not warmed up before serving, unlike the best Burek restaurant I visited in the Bronx (Dukagjini Burek)
Fabulous authentic Bulgarian food. The beef, cheese and spinach pie appetizers are great as was the goulash and meat with beans. Desserts looked great but didn't have room. Next time.
Food is really simple but tastes great. I had the grilled chicken and it's probably needs more flavor but still tasty and it filled me up! They have a tiny backyard with outdoor seating. They give you a lot of protein and you'll definitely be satisfied after the meal.
We were welcomed very warmly. The food was ready quickly and tasted great. Very good value.
Craving some real Serbian food , come here and enjoy ! Get the chicken soup or the beef soup , try the banica with yogurt drink, get chabapi- kebab, everything taste great here ! The food makes me nostalgic for home !
Delicious! My husband and I stumbled upon this place when in Astoria for fun exploring and we were hungry. Little hole in the wall, but so glad we went here for lunch. We shared the platter (enough for 2) , a sopska salad (yum) and 2 Burek sticks (1 each). We also got dessert, the wafer pie + krempi
I absolutely loved this place! It is in the smaller side. It may appear to be more of a takeout restaurant that has six tables available for those that may want to stay, but don’t be deceived! The food was absolutely delicious! I decided to try new entrees and I was not disappointed. I went for dinn
My first time visiting and the food was #1. Authentic Bosnian dishes from the burek to the cevape, especially the baklava. Fast service and the lovely server I spoke to was warm and inviting!
Nice backyard still open during the covid time. Their burek is simply delicious, pie size is large enough for 4 people, their mixed grilled meat platter is decent. They have eastern european beer too, good deal. Will go back !
