Mini Star Restaurant - Astoria - Photo album

New favorite breakfast joint in Astoria. Very warm and friendly greeting from the staff. Instant at home feel. The place is simple but immaculate and spotlessly clean. Not a cup or glass out of place at the counter. Breakfast options are solid. Pancake instead of toast? Sure thing. We tried the e
Best breakfast and brunch on Steinway and 30th Ave. My family usually stop by on the weekend. The owner are very friendly and great service.
Some of the best and cheapest prices for breakfast and food in Astoria. Gives you that real dinner experience and the service is excellent!
This is another amazing diner that is so representative of Astoria. It's affordable, it feels like you've stepped into the past, and the staff are all so unbelievably kind. If you're ever in the area and are looking for a classic diner experience - this is the diner for you.
Everything here is good. The french fries are crispy, the omelets are most and tender, the burgers are juicy and the waffles are the best around. The prices are cheaper than average too. Love this place and hope they stay around forever.
Delicious food, amazing servers, unique historic look, quick service. You won't be disappointed. Everytime I went I received delicious food and quality service!
So this is diner style. The 2 waitresses were polite and friendly. Service was quick. A spic and span bathroom. We just had eggs so can't really judge the other offerings. Coffee was good. Price was reasonable. Home fries were delicious!
All the staff here are so friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is exactly what you would want from a classic diner experience. My girlfriend and I got omelettes (the garden for her and a broccoli and cheese for me) with home fries and left very satisfied. A perfect morning stop!
Classic diner vibes in New York which is hard to find but nothing extraordinary about the meal. I will say the staff are great and contribute to the diner vibe
This diner is like the show "Cheers" it is a warm friendly atmosphere. The owners went through a lot to come back from the Covid experience & they did it well. The kitchen is always clean & the bathroom is too. Support your local businesses it is worth it!
I felt like I was transported to better times eating here today. I wasn't even born in those times! Appreciate the classic diner atmosphere, music/tv playing, and the warm service from the staff!
Really good food. The workers are very nice, and it's a good price
Cute diner with friendly staff. Everything is quite cheap. Unfortunately the syrup is not real maple syrup.
Great diner but, since Astoria continues to jack rents sky-high you can feel the struggle between survival and affordable food prices. It hinkle they do the best they can but, have to be at least mid-range to survive.
Friendly staff, tasty food and affordable prices
I come here just at least once a week for breakfast. Perfect no fuss Diner. Staff is always so friendly.
Fond memories of breakfasts with family and friends in the Mini Star during my first trip to New York back in 2005. I had the opportunity take a trip down memory lane and revisit the Mini Star in September 2017. Hoping to revisit again this coming summer.
Best diner in Astoria. Food is delicious, service is quick, and staff treat you like family. Can be a wait for seating, but it's worth it.
Food is good but beware of additional changes they charge 1.00 for everything added to a omelet
