Been coming here for over a year now and love it every time! The menu is diverse and easy to read with explanations of each dish. The staff is very kind and friendly. I love to sit towards the back where the room is surrounded by windows. Perfect to go on a sunny day! Or if you just want a quick bite, sitting towards the front is nice too if you’re alone and just with one other person.
We really had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was great, which is why I didn't mind when they automatically charged me 18% gratuity. As a matter of fact, I left extra tips as a thank you for the staff. We all enjoyed the dishes and the portion as well. Dessert was also delicious, along with the Turkish coffee. I'm glad we found this spot to add to our favorite places' list.
Seriously one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve had in a while. It closely compares to what you’d actually get in İstanbul. You will not be disappointed by the food, service, or atmosphere. In fact, I was highly impressed by all three. The lentil soup, lamacun, and beef kebab were so flavorful. Hats off to the chef. And with a squeeze of lemon juice? Utterly mouthwatering. Do yourself a favor and go here. It’s right across the street from the MTA station in Astoria, Queens. Still thinking about it weeks later.
Great meat quality. We ordered mixed grill which had 5 types of meat and all were delicious and so tender, also ordered lamb chops and humus. Lamb chops were well cooked and delicious. Humus was average quality.
Keep in mind you will be charged %18 tip by themselves, and if paying with card add %2.5 so minimum total %20.

Went to this place for dinner on a weekend. The place got really a good ambience and atmosphere. I have ordered the lahmacun, fried calamari, mixed salad, lamb chops and mixed grill. The food was really good. Kabab were juicy and tender. Overall I had good experience.
The food is very good and fresh. The service is good. Staff are friendly. Good atmosphere. Had a great dinner and experience.
Every time I come to NY I have to get a dinner at truva the food 🥘 is ready delicious and good portion. The interior needs a lot of improvement specially the setting area. FYI The off street parking was free few years ago now you have to pay for it. Enjoy
Excellent food, attentive service, and a charming ambiance! This gem near the subway exit exceeded expectations. The prices were reasonable compared to other Turkish places we've tried, with generously sized portions – the Iskender was massive, necessitating a to-go box. The staff's friendliness and prompt service impressed us, and the flavors of the food were exquisite. Finishing with a delightful cup of Turkish tea, this spot is a definite must-visit for anyone craving authentic Turkish food.
I have eaten here so many times before, and the food was really good, but today, after a long time, I went to this place, and the flavor is not there anymore. Not enough seasoning.
We chose Truva based on Yelp reviews and the proximity to where we were. The experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in. We were lucky enough to find a spot right in front, we were greeted and seated promptly in their outdoor seating area. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Our drinks were out within 3 minutes. We ordered all the food at once and asked they bring it as it became ready. The appetizers were out shortly thereafter, and the kababs came later. Everything was tasty and fresh, the meat was flavorful and tender. I have no complaints, my kids and my elderly mother in law all enjoyed everything. Highly recommend this restaurant, the prices are very feasible too! The gratuity was added at 18% which was fine by us. If your thinking about going here don't hesitate, very good overall!
