Review Tikka Indian Grill - Astoria

First off, I don't understand how some of the reviews are saying this place is overpriced. Prices have gone up substantially over the last few years, and this place is pretty much average priced when you look at all the other Restaurants. We went in few minutes before closing but still managed to have a great Dinner. One of the few places where the Food served looks exactly like the Photos in their Menu. We had ordered the Chicken Chops and it was easily one of the best pieces of Chicken I have ever had. It was so juicy and tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The other dishes we ordered were pretty good too. Must try spot for Indian Food

loved the atmosphere, food was great!! I would definitely recommend bhindi jaipuri it tasted like a very homey food and kadai chicken as well was very delicious kinda spicy but loved it,coconut shrimp was very tasty but I think they should make it a desert instead of a dish or appetizer!!!!! Service is something they should work on, it was not the worst service but if they work on it they can earn more customers. Definitely will come back!

Had a great dinner at the restaurant with authentic Indian cuisine and superb service. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The ambiance is a bit romantic in modern Indian style. Lighting is low and they have a great Indian playlist. I have no clue what the lyrics mean, but some were so nice I used Shazam to save it. My Chicken Tikka Masala was flavorful, a little spicy, and delicious. I love the papadum rolls with chutney trio they serve while they prepare the food. The food portions are small, but still enjoyable. Will definitely be back to try more dishes from the plethora of options.

$18 for this little tub of butter chicken. Standard Indian flavors, but their price and portions is definitely skewed. Their apps that cost $10 as well are way overpriced. Guess that’s inflation for ya!

For sure a good restaurant, the portion of the food is really very less for the price they charge. Been to many Indian restaurants but for sure a pretty hearty portion with the value for money. The service was for sure good. Bring your own Booze is a good idea for sure for their business. The food tasted really well with the right amount of spices. 💕❤️💕 The parking is really an issue here, you need to be prepared to drive around for a parking. 🚗 ❌🚗

Stopped in based on review. The team aims to please with good fresh authentic Indian food and pleasant, attentive service. I had the lamb saag, super tasty and fragrant. Dining alone, would really welcome an option like an thali to bring a few small bites together. Go, enjoy.

BRUH! Hands down best Indian Food! I love Indian. And have enjoyed others, but from quality of food to matched quality of service. This takes the win. AND....are you ready...NO CORK FEE BYOB. I mean, I might just move in! And no I wasn't drunk, it's really that good. Chicken Chops: the pics or description won't even do it justice. Tender marinated heaven. We also had the Lamb Kharma which was bomb. Cashew sauce with raisins. The coolest thing besides everything being great was the family owned personal feel. We also lived the digital menus. Nice touch. See you again soon. This place was also kid friendly. My 5 yr old can usually annoy some restaurant staff though I'm appreciative of their patience with him.

I am extremely satisfied with this restaurant, which I recommend everyone to try if they want real Indian food. The chef has an extremely high level of cooking experience, which is reflected in his dishes and this coupled with an extremely good staff!See you soon again!

Great food. Nice attentive staff. We did not expect our last-minute lunch find to be so good. They recommended the chicken chop and it was delicious. Very juicy, flavorful chicken.

The chicken and spinach was delish and the green sauce they give OMG , you’ll pay extra to take some home . Overall this place is good and tasty . Ordered saag spinach chickpeas, chicken curry, potato paratha and chicken chops. All were really good esp the saag spinach. Reminds me of tasty UK Indian food. 1st place in NYC that makes good saag aloo. Delivered from Uber Eats so I never dined in. But def will order again. Portions are a bit on the smaller side but taste is great.

We had a great experience here! Our server, Abdul was very helpful and gave us some recommendations since we were conflicted with some many great options to choose from! The Impossible Kofta was a unique dish, something I’ve never had at an Indian restaurant before. It was ‘meatballs’ but vegan. The ‘meatballs’ were seasoned with lots of spice and salt and topped with a white sauce. The Samosas were very fresh and filling, had a great amount of vegetables inside. I suggest dipping the samosas in the tamarind sauce! My favorite was the Patri Ni Mach - steamed salmon topped with green coconut masala served with vegetables and rice. The coconut masala was quite interesting - the masala balanced out the strong coconut flavor, it was sweet and little spicy. The vegetables were cooked in curry form which was very comforting and delicious!

Really tasty Indian food. Easy to please. White meat chicken means real breast meat! Wonderful basmati. They cut NO corners here!
