Monika's Cafe Bar - Astoria - Photo album

I've eaten at Monika's bar over a dozen of times. Hands down the best fish tacos in Astoria are here ($5 per taco), grilled octopus is one of my favorites too. They do brunch and happy hour, and you can always find seating as the place is pretty big.
Great atmosphere and has a really cool bar. The staff was friendly and the drinks were strong! Cool spot in Astoria and would recommend coming here. We only came for drinks, but the menu looked really good as well. I'll be eating here next time!
First visit, I had Mediterranean Breakfast w/ scrambled eggs, Tomato, scallions, Olives, tahini, tzatzki & pita bread. Excellent! My son had Huevos Rancheros w/ fried eggs, refried beans, corn tortillas, salsa, feta cheese. Also excellent.
Nice corner spot to sit outside during the nice weather and have a few drinks. Food was really good here as were the staff...can get kinda pricey which a bit of a turnoff but nonetheless it’s good.
Interesting, good quality food. Eclectic decor. Easy going atmosphere. Would happily eat here regularly.
The salmon taste great, the service is great. Very clean environment, very welcoming. First time and I loved everything about the place. Will definitely be coming around here again!!!
Came for drinks. Was seated right away and the server was most attentive. Only had the margarita (a few of them) and I didn't have any complaints. Will definitely come back for drinks again.
Good vibes, the music was good and the food was delicious. Chill spot
Amazing service ,always feel welcomed and the food/drinks are always delicious.
A favorite! Good food and environment. Been here many times definitely recommend it.
Food & drinks were better than expected! Brunch every day til 5. I guess they figured out that not everyone has wkends off. Outside seating on a quiet street. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Staff friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely make this a go to
Upscale yet still cozy, Monika’s is hands down my favorite spot in Astoria. Great food, amazing cocktails, and plenty of gluten free/vegan options (including desert!) My go-to spot for dates, family brunch, and getting work done. Never had a bad time here.
I love this place, amazing brunch, great brunch drinks, delicious coffee, and excellent service. Wish the seating arrangement was a little less awkward but the food is so worth being a little cramped. I'm not in Queens often but this place is an absolute must visit when I'm in the area.
Happy hour specials served quickly, staff very friendly and cocktails both classic and novel very nicely balanced, flavors distinct and showcasing both quality ingredient and technique. The classic margarita is a tangy delight. The ambiance feels informal but clever - warmly lit and flirtatious.
How have I never been here before? It was great food and such a cool vibe. Kombucha cocktail was great. Food was delish. Great options for vegetarians. Mushroom calamari was SO good. Only complaint is that the waiter seemed absolutely clueless. Nice, I guess? But clueless. Was confused that m
Lovely food, some nice vegan & vegetarian options as well as the usual brunch fayre. Great decor and effient service, the staff are smartly dressed and work as a coherent team. My husband was particularly impressed by the nude lady behind the bar! I highly recommend this cafe.
