Yaar Indian Restaurant - Astoria - Photo album

After a pause of over three years (since the COVID-19 pandemic hit), the weekend (Sat/Sun 12pm - 3pm) buffet is back. The food is still delicious, and there was a variety of items -- salad, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, curry chicken, saag paneer, chana, okra, veggie samosa, naan, and khee
Walked in with no reservation and was seated immediately. The bartender was also our waiter, thankfully it wasn’t crowded. If you like Indian food this is a great place to try.
Some of the best Indian food Astoria has to offer! The Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala are my go-tos. They are always well spiced, tender, and delicious. I’ve never had bad food from here, and the prices are great for the amount you get.
I have not come here for over two years due to the pandemic had lunch on Monday, March 8, 2022. So happy I returned I love the service I love the food I love the ambience and I like the music. Everything is what I expected and even more of course I will return and recommend

I’ve ordered from soo many Indian spots in Astoria but none come close to Yaar. 100% my go to. Fresh delicious food. The coconut naan and Tikka Masala are to die for. I would eat this everyday if I could.
This was my first time at this Indian restaurant. The ambiance was very cozy and relaxed. The service was friendly and very accommodating. I had the 3 course meal for 19.99 which was really delicious. The chicken samosa and tikka masala was mouthwatering! And the kheer dessert was tasty. I highly r
I ordered the paneer makhani for delivery and the portion sizes were generous. The amount of paneer was also great. The food was very warm when it arrived and delicious! I can’t wait to order from them again. My friend ordered the combo for dinner and says her samosas were warm and delicious. The c
We went for Buffet here. Unlike other buffet places which have 10-15 items, this place had 6-7 items, BUT all of them tasted good. Very pleased with our lunch experience. The Buffet is priced at $11.95+tax(as of Sept 17 2019)
Spicy! Tasty! Lots! We came here for lunch and were not disappointed in price or cleanliness. Staff was friendly . Food was presented attractively. Our only issue was that the food was a little spicier than expected....almost too much in that it almost took away from the good flavor s prese
