Review Fatima's Halal Kitchen - Astoria

Food is absolutely delicious, I've never been a huge fan of Chinese food but this place may have changed my mind. The food is very affordable especially the dinner menu. The place was clean and the chairs comfortable. Service-wise the waitress was courteous, helpful and kind and responded politely and quickly to inquiries and requests. I definitely will go here again.

The food was good. We took a plater for 4. Forgot to take the picture of crispy shrimp fry and fried rice and soup. The quantity and quality was good except the fried rice. The amount of rice was not sufficient for 4 persons.

Love the food! It’s Chinese food but halal and NO MSG! Perfect for Asian food lovers who love to have halal food. We tried General Tso’s chicken, honey chicken, beef Szechuan, veggie rolls, hot and sour soup, and sesame chicken plus ma po tofu. Love them all! But the resto is sooo busy. They don’t really have big space but enough for around 40 people. I usually do the order and pick up. Much better and faster as well.

Gen Tso's chicken is amazing! Wings were a little too crispy..singapore mai fun could use more flavor...fried rice was ok.

Hands down my favorite Chinese take out spot in NYC. I live in Brooklyn but my wife and I have taken the over and hour hike on the train numerous times just cause we were craving it (once it was 3 times in one week 😅) The beef lo mein and chicken with broccoli in garlic sauce is our go to 👌🏽👌🏽😭

Amazing!!!! Probably the best take out I've had in years! Lo mein, general tso chicken, sesame chicken. Great stuff!

Amazing halal Chinese Food. My sister introduced me to this place and we always got to go because the place is always full. Last week we finally got a table and the staff and service were amazing.

The food is very flavorful and fresh, great portions! It's hard to get a seat here, so you may have to get your food to go....but it's worth it!

Cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant. One of the BEST in NYC!! Must try the teriyaki beef and the kung pao, you won't regret it; I have been here at least 4 times within the year even though I am not local

My family and I have been eating here since 2008. I don't know why I am posting a review in 2021 lol Great food and service as always! Food is always prepared quickly (both dining in and pickup). Both the quality and quantity of the food are great! I really hope that this pandemic ends soon, so that we can return to the dining experience. It tastes so much better fresh and hot, than take out. Either way, love the food and highly recommended!

The food here is absolutely great, I've been here many times before and they haven't disappointed yet. I've tried many different dishes there, but chicken and broccoli is by far my favorite. The food is relatively cheap for how much food you get. They Got dinner and lunch time options that include a full meal and drink. Overall one of my favorite places to go, definitely would recommend to someone

Their food is the best😍. Literally the best Kung Paw chicken i have ever eaten. The waitresses can be a little unwelcoming sometimes but the food makes up for anything. So don't let that ruin it for u, just remember its a regular Chinese store but with the option to dine in inside and u will definitely love the food.

I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years. The ambience did decline over the years because of lack of maintenance or improvement but the quality of the food remains the same. My 6 year old loves the dumplings and my 3 year old loves the general tsos. I would pay higher prices if they improved the ambience (like re do the floor and ceilings and perhaps entirely renovate the space where the drinks are stored).

It's hard to find halal food but almost impossible to find great Chinese food that's also halal. The sesame chicken is to die for. I leave this place happy always.

Fatima's printed menu reads General Toa's Chicken. This is the traditional General Tso's chicken entry. It is as good as any chicken, broccoli and brown sauce, flecked with pepper flakes, rendition that can be found anywhere!

Comforting Soup. There is something about their chicken corn soup that I find truly comforting. Add a few of those crispy noodles to it and you're set!
