Very nice and classy spot. Drinks are exceptional. Love the decor and the live piano.
Starter was the barratta, which was a great choice. Delicious prosciutto. Entree was a T-bone steak medium rare, it came out more medium, but it was a huge steak and was seasoned well. Side of asparagus with parmigiana on it was good. Also ordered the seafood risotto—it was quite bad. The pasta was extremely bland and tasted like it was boiled in tap water. Very poor showing for such a nice place.
Came here after visiting the museum of moving image and so glad we happened to came across this gem. It was happy hours and we sat at the bar. I believe Sarah was our bartender and she was super attentive to everyone who sat down and I was quickly amazed how she made all the cocktails. We had a few glasses of Sauvignon Blanc with our half dozen oysters. They have this amazing honey peppery bacon that is made in house. We were not hungry but saw another party ordered a grill cheese sandwich which we knew we had to get as well and didn’t even take a picture before digging right in. It was crispy and buttery with 5 different kind of amazing gooey cheese. While we were there, we witness a couple getting engaged, a big party was arriving and the live jazz band just starting for the evening dinner service.
George's at Kaufman Astoria Studios.
The beef tar tar with scotch egg is just a heavenly deviled temptation for the pallet. The cocktails are part tradition-part innovation. The candied bacon will make you throw caution to the wind. And the service is warm and knowledgeable...sold!
Summer Fun for sure!! Great pizza and pasta. AWESOME libations and even karaoke on Thursday nights!! get down here and get some all over ya, you will not be sorry!!
Hands down one of my favorite spots in Astoria. Every time I walk in I feel like I'm back in time during the golden age of cinema. Drinks and food are amazing, and they serve bacon at the bar as a snack...BACON! The staff is incredible as well.
Delicious brunch, unlimited true mimosas/bloody marys plus a talented singer to go along with the film studio vibes. Good script!

Charming little underground bar. Very much a Speakeasy. Excellent service and very well priced for grabbing a late night drink. Fully recommended.
The ambiance it's great, courteous and prompt service. Definitely the place feels like a very high end TriBeCa bar/ restaurant , pricing is very fair and the drinks are amazing !
Very nice ambiance gives me the feeling of old Hollywood. Perfect for date night intimacy. The live band was amazing. I love music so to eat and listen to the jazz playing is awesome. Speaking of eating the food there is on point and delicious and the drinks are well made and refreshing. The price is reasonable to the service, food and entertainment provided. Would go again!
The staff are very warm, friendly and professional. The venue is very nice, it really does harken back to the days of the old movie studio, though not as big as I thought. When the entertainer is playing, she was very talented, it can be a bit loud. So, if quiet conversation is on your agenda, it's probably not the right spot. The crowd was pretty diverse and well dressed for the most part. The oysters were great, plump, fresh and ice cold. The Scottish salmon was spot on and the beef Wellington was excellent. My vodka martinis were perfect. You should check this place out, you won't be disappointed. The outdoor seating looks like it would be very nice when the season is right.
