Watawa - Astoria - Photo album

Watawa has been for a few years & continues to be my favorite Sushi restaurant in Queens, the restaurant itself is sexy, modern with a sophisticated vibe, aesthetically pleasing decor and great music always playing in the back. The sushi in my opinion is always so fresh, so tasty, so delicious and w
Came here on a Tuesday night and could have walked in without a reservation. The sushi was good and we also had the miso soup, which I also recommend. The restaurant had an indoor and outdoor seating options. The vibe was on the casual side
Excellent hibachi and sushi. I had the lunch special and the portions were gracious. The salad was pretty much drenched in ginger dressing so that it was not great but the rest was delicious. Outdoor dining is always a bonus in my book.
Great sushi, absolute best in the neighborhood. Nice for dine in or delivery. Reasonable prices especially in lunch specials. Fast and reliable delivery. I call and they have my address saved and card on file once I verify so it’s simle. Delivery is fast and good. Will keep coming back!
It’s a good place for good sushi. Good~but not great. They’re special rolls aren’t too special, almost seemed like it was all the same base of ingredients, just add/remove some. Was hoping for more variety. The ambiance is nice, great lighting for a cozy vibe. The tea was lovely. The miso soup was n
The food is great! Sushi is fresh. Rice is perfect. Martinis are well made.
My friends, sister and I went here yesterday for my birthday lunch. The food was good, especially the fried calamari which they put fried squid on the receipt (they aren’t the same). The interior was beautiful, sucks they didn’t offer wifi because none of my messages were delivered or received. The
My favorite sushi restaurant in Astoria and one of my favorites of all time! I have noticed that on the weekends the sushi is so fresh and every ingredient is just perfect! I am allergic to avocado and they have never messed this up once (thank goodness). I used to really love Blue Ribbon Sushi, but
A pretty solid sushi spot in Astoria! Surprisingly, they had lunch specials on a Saturday. We ordered the 3 roll combo, the sashimi set, eel cake (one of their special rolls and was my favorite- it consisted of salmon and eel with avocado - layered like a slice of cake) and tuna tartare. Everything
I have been here a few times and tried almost all of their selection of food. It's very delicious. Friendly and respectful servers and host. Thank you
Best sushi in Astoria, in Queens I would even say. Fish is always fresh, my favorite roll is the Sea Color roll with no eel, eel sauce is fine. 😅 My go to, every - single - time! And how can I forget the amazing rock shrimp atop a bed of arugula and topped with candied walnuts. Simply delicious. As
Amazing place- great sushi! We live close by and I am so happy that we discovered this restaurant! Highly recommend for lunch and dinner!
Went here for my birthday, the food was really good, the sushi was fresh, and everyone loved their plates. The waitress was super attentive. The manager even offered me and my partner a donut for my birthday, it was adorable.
This place has been my sushi place in Astoria for the last 5 years. They have good service, fresh fish and the atmosphere is nice. They have a water fountain in the back to make allusion to abundance which is very clever at a Japanese place.
Great special mango jalapeno drink made by awesome bartender Keith. We have been waiting to come here and when we finally did were not disappointed. The best part was drinks by Keith! Ask for his not sweet off menu creation! Keith made us very comfortable and we will come back for his special dr
Delicious fish! Everything delighted and exceeded expectations. This is now my favorite go to. The fish is fresh, rice is well made, and all ingredients are made with love.
This place was bustling with people who sat all around the restaurant on Friday afternoon genuinely looking like they were enjoying their afternoon lunch like I did! Went here with a co-worker for lunch and we shared the 3 any roll special and a side salad. The rolls were fresh and we were stuffed a
Celebrated a friends birthday here the staff was very helpful on trying to keep the surprise. We were hungry so ordered a lot of food and everything was delicious. My favorite were the dumplings and the rainbow sushi. Will definitely go back to try the other things in the menu.
