I've been meaning to visit Max's for a long time and glad I did! If you're looking for traditional German fare with friendly service and a wide selection of beer, you've come to the right place.

Pro-tip: If the weather is nice, try sitting outside. There's plenty of seating whereas the indoors is a tad small, yet charming!

I often go to this restaurant. The food is amazing. Quality vs. price is very well balanced and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a must visit when in Astoria!
A great strong beer selection, just don't start drinking on an empty stomach. The schnitzel and wurst plate w/ 2 sides portions are enormous, most at the table couldn't finish. A bit slow service with only 1 waitress, otherwise a great spot for German food and drinks!

Hands down one of my favorite places overall. Its definitely a must stop for me when visiting Queens. The food is always very good and spot on. The service is friendly and quick. Never had anything there that was disappointing. We always leave happy .
It was my first time coming here and first time trying German food ! amazing I loved it! The Kartoffelpuffer were the best , it tasted so good ! I also got the “Hahnchenschnitzel” it was great vibe and so full filling 🥰🥰

10/10 would recommend. Will & the cook (I can’t remember his name it began with a B... I think lol) were amazing. Food was absolutely delicious. Will was a great, attentive & fun waiter. They both made our night filled with laughs & great food. I’ve recommended this place to several people since then. Truly memorable! (Not really memorable if you drink the boot tho LOL). Nonetheless, don’t think twice, just go! It was a great spot to switch up the usual picks of food, which is what my friends & I wanted and it didn’t disappoint.
Awesome German food in town. Great selections of food and beer for the right prices. Try anything here and you would love it. Highly recommend.
