We stopped for a quick bite to eat for lunch. I ordered a penne shrimp pasta for $24. Unfortunately it was very overpriced and the rock shrimp that came in the dish were so small I thought I was eating canned shrimp. We also ordered the eggplant appetizer when we first arrived, and it never came. We mentioned it to our waiter, to which he replied, “do you still want it.” Well of course we want it, we ordered it for a reason! They gave it to us on the house, but it came out cold which was a huge disappointment. Both the pasta and the service were less than mediocre.

This is one amazing place to stop by and get a great meal. Totally recommend the Rocky Mountains Trout and the steak. I have no complains about the service but they definitely lack that upscale demeanor that would definitely make the place a better place. Here's the star you are missing: Cold little pieces of bread with no butter? This place can definitely do better than that. All in all, go there, great food and atmosphere!

Everything was above average.
Me and my partner split an appetizer (creamy tomato soup), an entrée (a hangar steak), and a dessert (tiramisu). It was more than enough food for the two of us, especially when combined with the bread and breadsticks. All items were very delicious.

The food...was ok. It is definitely something I would go back to because for the price point the food was good since a lot of restaurants are not open during off season. But my biggest disappointment was the service. Mind you I am dining alone and there's maybe only 5 other tables occupied on a Saturday night. There's more wait staff then diners, yet I had to ask for water twice and another drink from a waiter that wasn't mine. I really value customer service. The server was nice but it attentive enough for my liking.

Isn't it wonderful to find a restaurant right when you need it! We were tired and hungry after spending a beautiful (rather cold) day at the White Lake (near Maroon Bells) and we started looking for a place to sit and enjoy a warm meal. We decided to sit outside with our one year old baby (it was a sunny afternoon). The waiter quickly got us a high chair and our menus. The food was prepared with the freshest ingredients and with no unnecessary spices. Try their GIANT CALAMARI (for $17.50), it's flash-fried with spicy chili sauce. We also got Penne with Rock Shrimp, avocados, tomatoes and basil in a three citrus cream sauce and their Special Dish of the Day - Ricotta with tomatoes and basil in a creamy sauce. We would love to go back there again.

Dollar for dollar, this was probably among the worst meals I've ever had. Ever. Service was solid, ambiance was nice, no issues with management, wait staff or anything like that. The food is just terrible. Bland. No seasoning. No flavor. The pasta, the steak (LOL!) and the fries were all completely lacking in anything even approaching taste or flavor. And our bill... My God. Nice place, though.

Genuinely don’t understand how this place is still in operation.
Service: -100/10
Food: 2.5/10
Atmosphere: 7/10
Our waiter called me an alcoholic after I ordered wine…he then proceeded to mock me and my husband throughout the evening. We asked him for menu recommendations and he named multiple dishes as “absolutely disgusting”, which we found very unprofessional. Every time he came to our table, he made a belittling or unprofessional snide comment. He even mocked his own coworkers in front of us.
I should note that my husband and I are overly polite. We say “thank you” for everything, from water top-offs to bread drop offs to plate clearing. We are extremely polite and tip a minimum of 20%.
When you spend over $150 on food in the heart of downtown Aspen, the expectation is that it at least will taste better than frozen food.
This did not.
I ordered the linguine with wild mushrooms, and received a bowl of undercooked pasta with soupy liquid and hard chunks of dried ham. I’ve had better “pasta” from a Kraft box of Mac and cheese. My husband ordered the steak and fries, and received bland, tough meat overwhelmed by a portion of freezer-burned fries (I’ve literally never tasted worse fries…how do you even mess that up??)
TLDR: horrific service. Overpriced food that is worse than frozen grocery-store boxed food. Go literally anywhere else. You’ll be happier at a McDonald’s than this place.
