Review Fabrizio's Italian Restaurant - Ashland

Visiting out from California. Seeking some good food. Found Matino's around the corner from the Shakespeare Festival campus. The staff is very attentive, helpful and professional. The upstairs in the name is literally need to walk up the stairs, but next door is the street level restaurant location. Go up the stairs, enter into the door, the first thing you see is their full bar and their bar stools. They have inside seating as well as outside dining (roof dining). The food review: the menu selection is unique. Their menu have the titles of each category in Italian from Appetizers, Soups, Salads, main dishes, desserts and of course a separate drink menu (Alcohol, spirits, ect.). I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken (the options are just pasta, or add Chicken or Prawn . There is spaghetti and Meatballs and Lasagna. The bread served as complimentary and you mix the olive oil with Balsamic Vinegar to dip in. The red (out of Oregon) and the white wine (Italy) were a great pair between our dish selections. Had the Mud Pie and coffee for dessert. The coffee is a perfect match with the Mud Pie to top off the dinner experience. I will have to give this a deserving 5 stars rating, aside the fact that this business DOESN'T HAVE a Military Discount. The wait staff did provide a SHAKESPEARE Discount and thanked me for my Service.

This restaurant has wonderfully delicious Italian food and plenty of it. Very close to the historic Ashland springs hotel. Walking distance actually. Very friendly and service was great. I inadvertently left my credit card there and after calling them re my forgetful mind they very quickly mailed it to me. Will always visit this restaurant when in Ashland!

Update: Ate on the patio. Very good meal with good service. Order for delivery. Delivery was less than 45 minutes. Food was hot and delicious. We've done this twice now and have not been disappointed.

The extra stars are for the kind staff and small business respect, but this tourist trap was the definition of bland. No spices or anything of interest. Was just like Olive Garden but with a heftier bill. I'm sure a lot of work is going into running this place during covid, but it was just a frozen chicken parmesan breast with some bleak noodles in melted ice water sauce.

Absolutely delicious. We ordered gluten free and it was phenomenal. Fast service, friendly people. We will be back!!

Amazing food and service. The upstairs is more suited for date night which is why we moved from the downstairs dining. Food was amazing and we for sure couldn't eat it all. We will be returning for sure.

So I don’t normally order expensive food, but it was like $20 for my Mac n cheese from here and it was delicious. BUT there was a hair in it. I called and told them and the lady did not offer me a refund. She offered to remake it and send me more, but I said I’d still eat it, like whatever it’s a hair, and I hate waste. I just feel like I should’ve been refunded or offered a free meal in the future or something. I’m not confrontational, so I didn’t demand that, but I just feel it should have been offered.

My best friend and I went here for a late dinner after seeing Hairspray. It’s right across from the Angus Bowmer Theatre. While pricey, the food was delicious and we loved every bite. We shared the meatballs, the mac and cheese, and the chocolate mud pie. The bread is amazing too! For drinks, my friend had a glass of red and for me, a lemon drop. I’ve been craving it ever since. They also have a raspberry lemon drop as an option, so I think I’ll try that next time I come here. The service was great and our waitress was very sweet!

Place is a rip off prices are way to high $27.00 for a calzone that was grease yea ok.... Oh don't forget to take cash cause there is a 5% card fee.. bottom of the menu says it all prices and menu items subject to change without notice..

Truly one of the BEST restaurants ever! They have amazing food from pizza to dinners. Great PRICING! Also the owners are great people who always are so sweet to my little girl. I highly recommend this place its my first choice on the weekends!!!

Love the pizza and pasta,, been going through withdrawl since under construction.... Can't waite till they re-open in September... I need a fix of the Chicago Deep dish special.....

This was my first time here! It was so good, my brothers and I really enjoyed the pizza! Also, the staff was super friendly!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Worst pizza ever. Large pizza with onions, mushrooms and sausage on it. The only thing plentiful on it was sauce. Plus as a added bonus pizza had been flipped outside down and sideways. What a waste of $25.00!!!

Their meals are some of the best I ever had. Pizzas a work of art. Cheesesteaks are our of this world.

Terrible service, had a pizza delivered and it had been flipped upside down and trashed.

Excellent pizza & service! I stop there every chance that I get.
