Marco's Intalian Restaurant

The staff was absolutely amazing,we didn't have to ask for a thing! We had Collin as our waiter, he was absolutely wonderful,very attentive, a funny ball of energy! He definitely helped make our dinner an excellent experience! The food was fresh,flavorful, delicious, and well portioned! A little pricy but the experience you get and the quality you get is well worth it! I highly recommend giving them a try! 🙂

Marco's is a quaint little restaurant in Ashland, VA. The aesthetics were ok but nothing spectacular. Clean. As far as the food, the GOOD was the big ring calamari was the overall unexpected winner - 5 stars! It was cooked perfectly! The only thing lacking was the marinara sauce- a bit bland like it came from a can or jar. the BAD was their "attempt" at crab cakes - more like cat food! A complete disaster! They were thin and slightly undercooked. The 2 patties they provided didn't even stay together when I tried to pick up a bite with my fork! We also had fried zucchini (which was ok but could have been better with a tastier sauce) and chicken fettuccine, which was again, just average. As far as service from the staff: Our server was nice and pretty patient at first, but she forgot to give us a missing set of silverware (I had to go get it myself). In addition, when we were exiting the restaurant, the greeter at the front were to busy having girl talk and occupied by their phones than to say, "Goodbye or Thank you for coming" - my 79 year old mother even noticed it and said it was unprofessional and rude. In summary, besides the prices being extremely high for that area, I wouldn't rank this dining experience very high at all. 2 stars or a C at best.

We picked this place on a whim after making a u-turn on our way to another restaurant. It turned out to be a really good choice. The food was excellent and our server, Colin, was enthusiastic and attentive. However, the food was a bit pricier than you would expect from a casual dining restaurant. The speed of food delivery was faster than expected; we had barely started our salad when the main came out. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there really was no reason to rush the delivery. All in all, it was a good experience, but a couple of tweaks are needed to make it an excellent one.

Subpar. Ordered sampler and one of the large wings was cold in the middle. Kind of messed the rest of the dinner up for us. They offered to make us something else but I was already sort of grossed out. Would have been nice to see a 10% off or something to recover the situation as we sent the app back. That didn't happen. Pizza was ok, sort of bland.

Came in very late in the evening while traveling. Best random choice I ever made! The service was excellent, my waitress Jasmine treated me as if I was her first customer of the evening not her last....knowledgeable, kind, friendly. And the PIZZA!!!! I have not tasted anything so perfect outside of NYC. The crust was crunchy yummy goodness. Give this place a try, you will not regret it.
