Great service & and vibe, plus some fun drink specials. The regulars are a delight & super friendly to out-of-towners. Highly recommend.

Very odd place, but I really enjoyed it. It's a place for professional drinkers, so if you are expecting a grande latte pale ale this isn't the place. Within crawling distance of our hotel. We visited this bar more than any other in Asheville

Great spot in Asheville! This was our first stop of the night for my bachelorette. Aaron took care of us and he was awesome! I got the pain killer, solid drink!

Wonderful local joint. Killer background rock music. Makes me feel like I'm in cyberpunk 2077's secret club. Best craft drinks in Asheville! Friendly staff and patrons.

This is my favorite bar. Full stop. The conversation is great, the beer is cold, the decor is *chef's kiss* dive bar beautiful. In a city full of wonderfully complicated drinking options, sometimes I just want a beer. No frills, just frosty.

It was nice to find a little dive bar in the middle of all the overpriced junk around. Tiki theme was on point and the music brought me back to my gutter punk days and so did all the people drinking PBR. Their drink menu was awesome!

In for a drink and found a new best hangout! The service was AWESOME and atmosphere was fun and music 🎶 figgin great! Thanks for a fun afternoon!
The Pagliuca’s… PS . Bathroom was so clean that makes me think they are that way about the rest of their establishment and that you don’t always find .

Really love this dive tiki bar. The staff is laid back but very attentive and nice. The cocktails are fun and delicious! This bar has become a spot we have to hit up every time we visit.

Not quite what we were expecting. A little dive-ier than we thought it would be. BUT great bartender and I enjoyed the not-to-fancy tiki vibe. We visited mid-afternoon, but the bar was pretty full. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. They have the closing tiki cocktails, and they are later than many other nearby places.

Very fun menu!! Cool atmosphere, and only $1 membership. Glad we found it on a Friday night when we thought everything was closed or not admitting visitors

Great Tiki bar/Social Club. You need to be a member, paying a buck to get into this truly unique drinking establishment. Great and fast bartenders make custom and classic cocktails, serve craft beers and have good drinking good in a surreal environment of Tiki meets Burning Man! Can't wait to go back.

Asheville dive bar staple. Looks a little rough but never had a problem here. Staff is always great considering all the tourists.

Downtown was extremely busy at dinner, but we decided to grab drinks first then find food, so we ended up here at the Yacht. Two of our friends had been before. The kitchen was closed by the time we arrived at 8:30pm.
Guy at the door and the waitress were super nice and even recommended places for dinner.
Drinks were great! Painkiller, Mai Tai, Monkey's Paw, Zombie
Enjoyed the music choices.
Would visit again

Late night Munchies. Yacht Club is one of may favorite bars in Downtown Asheville for several reasons. One is Location. They are convenient to everything. They are across the street from Thirsty Monk, next door to Jack of the Wood and a stones throw from TallGarys and Tupelo Honey Cafe. <br/><br/>Two is price. They have tall boy PBR for just $4 and microbrews on special each night. It's cheap, which makes it a good bar to start your night at, but quality doesn't suffer.<br/><br/>Three is selection and ambiance. I love the tiki bar feel of the place. They have tables and booths to sit in. The background music is usually a good mix of reggae, indie rock and alternative. They have tropical tiki bar drinks, like the zombie and mai tai. The bar also serves up a great St. Germain drink. The microbrew selection is always on point. <br/><br/>Last is the incredible and indulgent late night menu. Tater tots served in a pitcher? Me Please!! The selection on their late night menu surpasses everywhere else I've been. You just have to make your way over to Yacht Club, its fantastic!

The Big Ern. Where else in the world can you get a pitcher of tots wash it down with a Lagunitas IPA and for a night cap ask Chuckie to make you an Ernie McKracken. Only the Happiest Place in the Universe

SAD. I lived in Asheville when this "tiki" bar opened. I enjoyed many, I mean, MANY Blue Moons there. I witnessed the birth and the growth of the establishment that whole year. Back when it opened, there were no amenities like the gated outside smoking area, extra seating and the old school pac-man game that is there today. I have since moved but ALWAYS CONTINUED to make The Yacht Club on the top of the bar scene list. U N T I L...... This past weekend. Jan.22,2001, Saturday night drinking some beers with my girlfriend..ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. What started out to be a wonderful Saturday night, almost turned violent. My girlfriend and I were there the night before (Friday) and the bartender recognized us, she even knew what beers we wanted. The bar started to get busy as the night wore on. My girlfriend and I decided to share a cigarette and went outside. We placed our full glasses of beer on the bar infront of our stools. When we returned, one of our seats was taken. I kindly asked the fellow to let us have our seats back, and before he could answer his friend said " Is your #$@%# name on that seat?"...he again spewwed " I don't see your &$&^%@! name on the seat. The guy that had been sitting in our seat said " Oh, my bad, heres your seat and nevermind my friend, he's hotheaded and Cuban"<br/>End of story...HELL NO<br/>After finally getting settled with my girlfriend to enjoy the rest of the evening, this guy, the "hotheaded" one, came to me to shake hands. I reluctantly did it. I was being kind and forgiving. No sooner did I shake his hand he mumbled " I could knock you the *&$! out in a second". OK, this was the last straw. My girlfriend came off that stool so fast it was a blur. She firmly told him to leave us alone. Now keep in mind, this is all being witnessed by the bar staff. After my girlfriend, a stunning and intelligent blonde bombshell, told him to leave us alone, the bouncer with the long beard and the assistant bartender (which we think was a cook) came and diffused the situation. I wasnt perfect handling it. When the words started flying i was right there in it. I yelled right back. I was infuriated that this situation had gotten to this point. The first 3 guys were escorted out of the establishment. The other two that were with them stayed long enough to close their tab and insult me and my girlfriend across the bar. Breaking a glass and introducing it to this guys face was a thought...but hell, Im not going to jail over this.As words were flying, the bar staff got an attitude towards me and my girlfriend because we didnt just shut up and let them diffuse the situation. We were scared to leave after that, so we asked about a back door we could exit from ( In fear that these 5 guys would be outside waiting to do whatever to me and my girlfriend) but the tattoed and long highlighted hair female bartender said they didnt have a backdoor with ATTITUDE.. OMFG We were so afraid that we didnt finish the full beers we had ordered. We were terrified. I didnt want to tip anyone at that place...they served those neanderthals shot after shot after shot and then had the nerve to get attitude with us???<br/><br/>.<br/>.<br/>NEVER AGAIN will me or my girlfriend ever grace the threshold, nor recommend this pirates haven to anyone. If you have to try it, go during daylight.

Not just the standard pub food.. Sure, they have all the normal stuff, and it's all great. But they also add a few nce twists, like the crab rangoons. Plus as has been mentioned, they sell Tater Tots by the pitcher. Hard to beat that. Also a great selection of local brews.
Thedailyuser
Tatter Tots. Served in a beer pitcher - not much else to say

I believe it was a Tuesday. Friendly bartender with great appetizers. Is there anything more to say?
