Sonora - Asheville - Photo album

A sense of community is evident as soon as you walk through the door. Nearly fifty incredible tequilas available, & as many menu options! From the silvery-reflective ceiling inviting you to lose yourself in a dozen-or-so margarita/cocktail options, to the wine & beer options, you’ll be hard-pressed
Was 100% awesome, until the manager said that they had jalapeños but they wouldn't grill (1) one for me. Other than that little deal, it was great good.! JUST AN FYI, IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO PLEASE A CUSTOMER, MAYBE CONSIDER DOING SO. 😉
Came Saturday for an early dinner. Pork belly and shrimp tacos were good as were the tostados. Chips and salsa were really solid. Great service. Would go back and recommend it for anyone looking for a Mexican spot in the area
Arrived around 6:30 on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy! Business picked up shortly after we ordered. Our server was great and attentive. The margaritas were tasty and the chips and salsa were great too! We loved the mango habanero salsa the most. They had a few vegetarian options. We ordered the fri
Food here was amazing! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I cannot speak highly enough of my steak burrito, super flavorful and the steak was very tender! Would highly recommend this place if you are in Asheville and looking for delicious Mexican food and refreshing margaritas. Don’t forget t
Highly recommend! We sat at the bar during busy dinner hours and Shelby was a super efficient and friendly bar tender. No long wait times and the staff worked together like a well oiled machine. The food was great! The chips and queso were the best I've ever had. The margaritas were delicious and I l
I truly love this place! Not only are the portions fair, they’re also interesting and SO TASTY. My husband and I have been coming here since 2019 and it is our absolute favorite Mexican place in Asheville. It’s casual but by no means cheap in quality. The service is friendly and the staff is always
I was actually surprised 😮. First of all I got concerned when i noticed there was no Mexicans on the kitchen or any place in the restaurant but then the food was better than expected, I'm not sure I will consider it as authentic but as a Mexican I can tell you was a really good experience the flavor
We just randomly walked by on a Sunday night and decided to stop in and, boy am I glad we did! The atmosphere is great. Good music, good vibes! And the food was phenomenal! I’ll definitely be back!
My wife and I came were in Asheville from out of town and decided to try this place out due to the good reviews. We were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and had a really cool bartender who was very friendly and could make a great margarita. The food was amazing as well. We got the salsa and chip
Perfect place to eat after a long day of hiking and exploring. I loved the potato and avocado tacos! One thing that really disappointed us was the quality of the $13 Palomas--they were basically shots of strong tequila with a splash of grapefruit concentrate. Ultimately, the food was incredible--but
Best chips and margaritas! A totally enjoyable experience. It was amazing to see the teamwork with such a small staff pumping it all out. Food was amazing. Barbacoa tacos were my fav. We sat at the bar and the service was spot on. Get the elote you wont be disappointed. Empanadas were stupid good. C
Blown away by food, drinks and service. We sat at the bar so the vibe was great but I could see how sitting at a table might feel more “sterile” or distant. Overall will be back though. Wish they offered a brunch!!
Awesome food. Not your Americanized Mexican. The tamale was the best I ever tasted in a restaurant and like homemade. Margaritas freshly squeezed, beef enchiladas tasted great. The Elote I have never had but also great. Did not like the beans at all, but everything else was the best I ever had . Als
Great addition to downtown Asheville. Cool Space. Super friendly service. We had kids that were picky eaters and they accommodated them with exactly what they wanted. The food was so good. Everyone was raving. I'm definitely going back. I like that the menu isn't overwhelming with too many op
I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The food is amazing! Very fresh and flavorful (I ordered queso sonora & a chicken quesadilla). I did feel that service could have been better, there were a few empty tables when I sat down and it took a while before someone asked for my order or wi
