The best sawmill gravy I've ever had.
Had the chicken and waffles, the gravy was sweet with a slight pepper to it. The chicken was fried prefect: crispy outside and still juicy. The waffles were light and fluffy. The whole dish was tied together well. I can't recommend this place enough. Do try reservations. We went on a Friday for brunch and got real lucky.

We visited the Corner Kitchen for dinner after our elopement ceremony! I was fortunate to get a reservation just the day before. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They all congratulated us as we were still wearing our wedding attire. They were SUPER busy so the service was a tad bit slow, but we had everything we needed. I was able to note my dietary restrictions with the reservations and they confirmed them upon arrival. There were plenty of gluten free options available for all courses! We shared an appetizer, ordered separate entrees and separate desserts.

We came in at breakfast for mimosas, wound up reserving a table for dinner, and it was absolutely worth it!! Had the lamb shank, the trout, the mushroom dusted scallops, and the crab chowder. It was ALL so delicious 😋 paired it all with "The calling cab sauv." And it was a perfect meal!

WOW! I am a local native and never ate here. I joined my uncle on a dinner meet up and was I blown away. You will not be disappointed in any of the items as we tasted each others plates. Peanut butter lava cake...omg
Staff is fantastic. **YOU WILL NEED RESERVATIONS**

Such a nice brunch spot! We had biscuits and gravy as well as the French toast with grits. Both of which were incredible, the Biscuits and gravy were perfectly seasoned with the Biscuits being light and fluffy. The French toast was equally as good as it being just as fluffy as the biscuits, and the portion was wonderful! The service was great as well, with our waitress being so helpful and quick.

It can be hard to get into as tourists love this spot. The wait can be long during peak times, but it is definitely worth it!
We made a reservation for the patio at 5:30 pm and secured a nice end table which was perfect as we dined with our 70# Doodle.
The open air patio was very comfortable as the heaters were on. As the evening progressed and the sun goes down, Asheville air can turn very chilly. Then the motorized panels form a wall to block the chill to keep the patio warmer.
This place never disappoints! Service and farm-to-table food are always on point!
The chef started everyone off with a bite of his creation. Beautifully presented Cucumber slice with creamy Goat Cheese, Blueberry Balsamic and a microgreen. All of the flavors worked in this tasty bite.
We selected appetizers of Scallops. My only regret was that I wished there were more! Very succulent and made more tasty with the thick, flavorful add of a small piece of bacon on top. The creamy sauce they floated in was not overpowering nor overdone.
As I have become more serious about being gluten free, the menu had some great options. I have had the Pecan Encrusted Trout before and it is divine, but not gluten free. The menu states this can easily be made gf. The kitchen did a beautiful job with an herb seasoning. It complimented the rest of the plate beautifully & tastefully with the Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Browned Butter Green Beans.
Gluten Free dessert was the Molten Lava Cake served with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. We chose to share & I had planned to only take a bite, but it was too good to stop! Hubby was disappointed! Next time, I will opt for my own as it is a small dessert.
Our server was fantastic in taking care of us and managing all her tables. Very friendly as well and accommodating in bringing a large bowl of water for our pooch. All the staff we interacted with at our table helped make this experience very pleasant.
Highly recommended place but the secret has been out for many years now!

This may have been one of the best dinners I have ever had. We went for our anniversary and tried the seasonal sangria, trout, grilled coulotte, and lava cake. Each bite was better than the last and left us in shock over the flavors and textures. Our server was so sweet and attentive. I can say we will absolutely be back and cannot wait!

This beautiful place is a slice of Heaven for sure! I had the best Boozy French toast (not your normal French toast) ever! Don't let the name scare you off... It was so lite that it was like eating a cloud surrounded by beautiful berries & homemade whip cream! A little tip-ask for the berry jam to put on the French toast! Fabulous!
My Sissy had the other meal attached which was as great!
If there is only ONE place you can eat in Asheville-eat here! You won't be disappointed! God bless all that prepares & serve this wonderful food!

Best brunch we’ve had in Asheville! Prompt seating (with reservation), excellent service, delicious meals!! And the history of the house and ambiance is very cool!
Only complaint was our table of five was sat right in front of the bathroom on the second floor. Eating while people wait to use a single toilet isn’t pleasant.

First time here & it did not disappoint! This place was recommended to us for brunch or lunch.
The boozy French toast was excellent and my husband had the red pepper omelet, which was also just as delicious!
Next time we come, we will definitely come back here!

My wife and I dined here for dinner on our 3rd anniversary (days that is). The staff treated us like royalty. Our waitress, Michelle, was awesome. She checked on frequently but not intrusively. When she learned we were newlyweds, she was as excited as we are and immediately offered up a special dessert in honor of our newly-married status. My wife and I shared the calamari as a starter, she had the scallops and I had the pecan-crusted trout. All three were delicious. Our experience was top-shelf and should we find ourselves inAsheville again, we will undoubtedly dine here again.

Wait staff was friendly but the food (breakfast) was crummy. Potatoes were hard as a rock from sitting under heat lamp, chorizo sausage omelet should have been labeled egg omelet due to the approx eight 1/4" size pieces of sausage, the corned beef hash should have been half the price for such a small portion..... Not that I wanted more of the room temperature bland tastings selections we made. I will not be returning.

I could not have been happier with my experience! Amazing atmosphere... food... waitstaff... After a long day of taking in the Biltmore and the Chihuly exhibit, our evening took on a tone of pure relaxation and exquisite food and libations. I recommend this amazing little restaurant with much enthusiasm to all those who finds themselves in Asheville. You’ll not be disappointed.....

Love this place! Great food, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Whenever we're in Asheville, we make it a point to have at least one meal here!

We stopped in for breakfast based on some of the menu options: home-made hash, bagels and lox, and the waffle. We got all three and were not disappointed or hungry when we left. It is a cute little place but parking and seating fill up fast. The staff is great, too: all smiles and kept the coffee flowing. It’s a great place to fill up before you head out for a day at the Biltmore!

I have been eating at The Corner Kitchen for years and loving it. Today however was very disappointing. Met friends there for brunch. The food was very overcooked to the point of having to send one plate back and burnt black bacon and toast on two other plates. Not sure I will go back.

Awesome food and service!!!! We showed up for lunch and were told it’d be about a 40 minute wait but they would text me when our table was ready. Approximately 30 minutes later I received the text. We were promptly seated and our order was placed. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food was so delicious that we returned the next day. I highly recommend saving room for the bread pudding!!!

Awesome place! Amazing food! Decadent desserts!
Scrumptious Salted Caramel Bailey’s Coffee!

It was so amazing that I went back today!! Love the pecan crusted trout with gingered sweet potato! Great staff as well... our bartender/ waitress and bus boy from Hawaii were awesome 💕

had an exceptional breakfast; all three items we ordered were perfect. I had the corned beef hash with horseradish and poached egg...sounds rich but was so light and yummy. Also bought a jar of the Imladris Farm berry jam . Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

The 2 hour wait on Sunday, March 4, 2018 was not worth it. When we finally got seated I was shocked to walk in to a lot of empty tables. Meanwhile, there are many many ppl discruntle outside because they’ve been waiting 1-1.2 for breakfast. The food was good, but not great. While we waited we went across the street to the bakery to get a coffee while we waited and OMG the service there was excellent and the food looked and smelled amazing. The staff was funny and energetic. In retrospect I wish we would have not waited for two hours on a Sunday morning with so many other good options in Asheville. We should have ate at the bakery across the street!!!

The service was top knotch! Very knowledgeable about the food and wine! The food was truly phenomenal! We had a reservation for 8, sat on time with excellent timing of the food! I was impressed with the food that everyone ordered! Will be back the next time we are in Asheville!

Very nice fine dining experience. The atmosphere was quaint. Service was superb. All courses were delectable including the creme brulee. The only two issues I had were that the crust on the Pesto bread was so chewy it was almost unedible. Similar comment for the NY Strip steak. Not the greatest cut of beef and a little chewy. For $37 I was expecting a more memorable steak. I will return but won't get the steak again.

...eaten there several times when in town...we were on the tail end of brunch...service was great...food above average...just not exceptional...love the atmosphere...menu also interesting..
