Sitara Indian Cuisine

We visited this restaurant past Sunday after having read the good reviews. If you would like to do a favor, please do not visit this restaurant. They served a stale food and chilli chicken was floating oil bath (see pictures attached to this review). The customer service is poor and never again to this place.

Sitara Restaurant stands out to be the best Indian cuisine in northern Virginia . The Restaurant lives up to its name in best dining with great atmosphere ,promising taste and flavor in food. the chef stands out to be the best as he exhibits attention to detail coupled with great sense of humor. the blend of taste and flavor in food cherishes the reminiscence of home style food. they are more than happy to help the customer and customize as per their needs. the presence of mind of the management is overwhelming as they give great suggestions to choose the right food for the individuals appetite. on whole, the restaurant serves best food at affordable price with great hospitality.

decent food and reasonably priced. the flavor was good, very nicely spiced, but more sauce than substance. i thought the rice a little dry, but all the better to soak up the sauce. was very quiet for a weekday lunch, but this seemed the case for most of the restaurants in the center. except for the miniscule parking lot which was very hard to find a space in, this could be a great place to get lunch.

Way Too HOT! My Indian friend took of group of her American friends here for lunch. She spoke to the manager & wait staff about our American palates and that we weren't prepared for spicy hot food. She requested no hot spices for our portions. Well, no one listened and a few of us were trying to eat something we couldn't taste because of the spice. Also, we went through a box of tissues just trying to eat the food. The mango drink I had was fantastic; otherwise, I will never go back again. Waste of food, time, and it just was NOT a pleasant dining experience.

My boyfriend and I were feeling lazy and didn't want to go out to dinner, we decided to order delivery and happened across this restaurant on Grubhub. We ordered the butter chicken, vegetable pakora, goat curry, garlic naan, samosa, and chicken 65. We were absolutely not disappointed!! This place is authentic and I cannot believe how welcoming the employees are, even over the phone! It did take about an hour for our food, but we ordered quite a lot, so we were expecting that, and it was well worth the wait!! While the food is quite spicy (get your tissues ready!) we were expecting it, as Indian food usually has some kick to it! It was probably some of the best food I've had in quite some time! Last thing, this was the first time we've ordered multiple things as a first time customer somewhere and LOVED everything we received!! We'll be back quite often. Sincerely, a new loyal customer!

Very tasty indian food priced moderately...I visited sitara couple of times in the recent past as it is our neighborhood restaurant. The best part is they seem to be moderately priced serving both tasty north and south Indian food. Dosa nights are one good thing, they served wide variety of unlimited dosa's along with other biryani,starters/deserts, I had pesarattu, masala dosa and paneer dosa with 3-4 kinds of chutneys.... my family had non-veg starters and biryani, they gave very good reviews on them...special biryani they said was the best...

Sitara is a great place. We love the food. Recently, we had a organized a birthday party with Sitara. Food and service was a super hit. They accommodated all our needs. They were also very flexible with our late timings. All the appetizers and food were on time. All our guest were very happy and food was just amazing. I would go with Sitara again for our next party and i would recommend Sitara, Ashburn to anybody.

Most of the reviews except one or two reviews are paid reviews. The worst Indian food, writing this review are three consecutive fiasco. 1. First time, placed order on phone for a pickup and gave me a wrong order. 2. Second time, ordered Dosa and after 30mins the gave me vada and told they are out of dosa batter. 3. Third time, this time I had the worst experience order spl chicken biryani and It was stinking and complained them and they reaction was as if they knew food was worst and served it. They never bother about customers and always hidding in the kitchen.
