Review Darna Restaurant And Lounge - Arlington

One of the most nicely appointed lounges/clubs I've been to in the DC / NOVA area. Featuring ceiling to Wall video screens with lots of cool visual effects. Fantastic vibe and atmosphere. Awesome bar and great hookah selection. Hospitality is top-notch. They really went all out with the design of this place, even the bathroom looks chic! Very limited parking in front of the venue although there is plenty of street parking nearby. If you enjoy Hookah and a fun atmosphere Darna is not to be missed.

I should’ve paid attention to the first red flag when I called to get a price on a table reservation and was told 2 different quotes. I moved forward with the plans anyway because once I received the total amount due of what we discussed, it was doable. Fast forward to the night of the event, i ended up getting hit with unexpected fees and i truly feel like the waitress/hostess prey on those who they see are under the influence. I addressed the unexpected fees and she claims that she told me which was an entire lie! I wasn’t that drunk. Then on top of that, i was told that my deposit was deducted from the total bill which was also a lie!!! Another issue: Our minimum was $1500 but towards the end of the night we only spent $1100 which meant the we had another $400 to spend. Instead of the waitress letting us know ahead of time our balance, she waits until the end of the night to tell us which resulted into us not being able to get any food because the kitchen was closed. I would think common courtesy would’ve been to tell us to give us the option get something for the money left over. This place has a lot of potential but if they don’t fix this ASAP, I can see this place going downhill. Of course once you had a few drinks you’re just ready to go but the next day, i definitely contacted them because I WILL be getting a refund for what is owed to me. No one has contacted me back yet so I will keep you posted on the results. Another thing I observed is that there were people in there with money (mainly men) who don’t mind splurging. With that said, the waitresses will gravitate to them while leaving us middle class people to search for them for service. Which is crazy because if I’m paying $1500 for a table, I should get top notch service regardless!

Darma great! Friendly crowd and staff. Really good music and DJ. Lots of people doing hookah, but no smoke. The place is well ventilated. A nice, enjoyable, atmosphere. The music is loud, probably no louder than other places near by though. There is valet parking and good food options. Arrive early and get a good meal then stay for the dancing crowd. I loved the two "go go" dancers dancing on platforms. I'll say it again... This is a very friendly place. Enjoy!

Be careful coming here. Security is races his name Will . They say it’s a dress code. However they let people come in with flip flops and ripped pants. I would never recommend anyone coming here. Everrrrrrr

Me and my friends went to Darna last night May 6th at 11:30 I asked for a table. One of the waitress said it's $275 for the table and I said it's OK and she gave us the table we sat for 15 minutes. And Two other guys came and said it's our table and I said to them I already paid for the table.So we call the waitress and she said you guys need to leave because you guys don't have a cash and I told her I payed with my credit card.The security guy just came in and told us to leave without no Reason. He even didn't listen our side and and we didn't had much argument.

They have happy hour 5-7 on weekdays which was nice. We got cocktails in the beautiful outdoor area (no hookah) which were delicious, and the servers were friendly. The bathrooms were also clean.

This has been one of the worst experiences. I wouldn’t recommended this establishment to my worst enemy. Waited for over an hour for coals for the hookah, we ordered another round of drinks, if they brought the drinks, everyone reading this review brought the drinks. Yes, the manager did come after, not only me walking around to find him, but yelling out loud to the non-speaking English busboy, to get the manager. The space itself it decent but the entire staff needs to be retrained on customer service.

Not a big fan of the sections set up. Tables are too spread out. Other than that nice crowd and good music. Overall decent night club
