I had some of the $1 sushi. As you would expect the amount of fish per piece was small, but worth $1, and all the pieces were well prepared with quality ingredients. I cam during a Saturday lunch rush and was seated immediately. I did have to wait a bit for my sushi to come out but it wasn't unreasonable.

We had dinner here this weekend. The staff was genuinely very sweet and kind, the food was amazing. So glad to have Japanese food nearby. Highly recommended!

What a hidden gem! This night be the best bang for your buck shy of a buffet. They have $1 nigiri sushi ALL DAY. It is a little slow to come out so try to order everything you want in one go or there could be quite a mid-meal lull. The wait staff is pleasant and polite but it does take some effort to get their attention beyond an initial order. The food tastes good, especially if you factor in the price. Great deal

A bit disappointed in the sushi. I recognize to not expect a lot for $1 however 2 (scallop and yellow tail belly) of the 5 were very fishy, the pieces were small and the presentation was a bit messy. We sat at the bar and it was a bit underwhelming.
The old location was always fantastic and we used to go 2-3x per month for the 1$ sushi and because the staff was fantastic. Not sure about this new location…….

Absolutely awful, first off, the the service was poor. No one checked on us the whole time after being served. The servers attitude was opposite of what you come to expect from a friendly atmosphere at a restaurant. It’s one of those places where it feels like they are inconvenienced by you being there.
We tried to be positive about it but, it completely ruined our night out. Not to mention the sushi was below average. It’s fitting that the restaurant is located below giant because that where the sushi tastes like it came from, genuinely.
You couldn’t pay us to return.

Miso, salmon here is a must try. Can't go wrong with any of the nigiri sushi

I am going be honest and blunt as possible. The sushi is not as expensive compared to other restaurants in the area that offer sushi. Takohachi recently moved to a new location, which is down the street from their old location. Visited them at their new spot and was really excited to have sushi for dinner. You know how it goes, when you are stoked to go out after a long day and just eat something that hits the spot. Walked in, up to the sushi bar/counter, was greeted by the friendly staff and placed my order. BTW, try to not order through Ubereats, the prices on the menu are more expensive then what the prices are at the restaurant. I noticed the total was a lot more then what I had calculated. After receiving my change, I asked the employee for my receipt and headed outside to wait for my order. I took a look at the receipt and noticed I was almost charged double. Didn't understand why the receipt wasn't itemized or why I was charged 10% percent tax. I went back in and after talking to the same employee, the issue was resolved. I had to wait 25 minutes longer then what I was told for a take out order, I get it, it's a Friday and they were pretty busy. Whatever, I can burn time on my phone like most of us do, it's all good. The employee brought me my sushi, while I was sitting at the bar/counter. Upon leaving the restaurant, I checked my sushi and immediately noticed the sauce on one the rolls was smeared on the inside of lid, whatever it will end up in my stomach anyway. I took the sushi home, ready to pig out with my wife. One of the rolls of sushi, the salmon just had an unpleasant smell. I tried to eat it but couldn't get past the smell, no way. The other rolls were alright, tbh, their quality of food has declined since they have relocated, in my opinion. Would I recommend this spot anymore, not really. I am sure other's enjoy it, as I once did and besides I haven't tried anything else other then their sushi on multiple occasions. It's honestly not the same as their old location. RIP.

Remember this is not fast food restaurants so enjoy . We only need one good chef . That he would takes his time to deliver a good and guilty food. All the kitchen have one chafe to serve many people. Thank you for the good meal 👍🏻

Sushi was great, but it was unacceptable to have us wait for an hour after placing our orders to get 15 pieces is sushi. They only had two chefs. If they couldn’t handle the workload they should have told us that, and we would have ordered something else. One of the items were sold out, and the waitress didn’t even tell me until they delivered my food. We were left half full, and we went to somewhere else for round 2 instead of ordering more food , afraid that it will be another long wait. Totally not worth the wait time to get these 🍣 sushi.

Absolutely amazing tuna tartare and sushi! Had to marscapone cheese mousse for dessert and it was phenomenal. I have had sushi all around this country in this stands up to any of them at a fraction of the price.

You can’t go wrong with the $1 nigiri! The yellowtail was particularly good. Good service, nice meal at a great price.

I walked into the place for a take out order. I stood at the bar waiting for someone to take my order. No one ever stopped to ask me what I wanted. When I finally stopped a waitress to place a takeout order, she said, “45 minutes, what do you want.” Needless to say I walked out.
Hey Takohachi, teach your waitresses manners!

The food was great and very inexpensive for sushi! The service was just a tad bit slow.

Me and my girlfriend waited 45 mins before they brought our appetizer out, after we said something. And a couple that that came in 15-20 mins behind us got their appetizer before us. It will be a long time before i go back.

Tonkotsu soup was better than anywhere in Arlington we tried!
