Food was good service was good prices were good. Will definitely go back. We got there 30 min before closing and the staff was very hospitable and speedy. They never made us feel rushed and everything was great. We were a table of 8. Would definitely recommend.

I just left this little gem of a restaurant. My meal was absolutely amazing! It is a "Caribbean" restaurant, but really Puerto Rican, from what I understand. It's not fancy, but very clean and down home feeling. The cook (and I believe owner) came out to say hello. We ordered the special of the day

Good Puerto Rican food. A little disappointed they didn't serve pastels. The alcapurria was very flavorful, the pernil was tasty but the rice was a tad bland-suggest more sofrito and Sazón. Overall, the food is good and we will return when in town.

The portion was pretty large, kinda pricy for lunch $30 for one person with tip, bottler water $2. I don't mind paying for and respect their pricing but for money value I don't think I going back for lunch but maybe next time I might give another change with trying other menu. I usually get Thai house nearby but was craving something different and El Mofongo seemed like the perfect fit. I wasn’t sure what to expect because beneath the restaurant sign, it said Caribbean and wasn’t used to eating Caribbean cuisines. The inside is small with painted walls depicting culture.

This place is the BEST Puerto Rican food in Texas. The Piña Colada has the most real taste I've had in while and the fired Mofongo with shrimp and churrasco(close for fajita meat) is juicy not dry at all. You leave wobbling out. I had the Frito Mofongo. This is the best new thing I've eaten in years. The staff is very friendly. She was disappointed I took my flan to go and she didn't get to hear how I liked it. It was fantastic by the way.
