Great local gem to dine at. The friendly home style atmosphere is hard to beat. The family run staff is very hard working and personable. I ordered the chicken parm and an appetizer of wings. Both tasted delicious, and the prices were also reasonable for the area. I would totally recommend dining at Chauncey’s.

Oh my awesome. Good service, great food. Pot roast best we’ve ever had. Salmon over cheese ravioli in an Alfredo was spectacular. Clam chowder perfect. Best meal we’ve had in a long time.

Comfort food at its best! The service tends to be a little slow. Perhaps to underscore the importance of savoring every delicious mouthful of food like grandma made. And waiting for something made from scratch requires patience. Lovely waitresses. Superb desserts. If you're planning a day at the Manchester VT outlets take the time to stop here.

Good home cooking, always. The service is often slow, so if you're in a hurry this might not be the place for you. I love to come here to have a relaxing meal with family and friends. Good burgers, chili, blueberry pancakes and desserts!

The service was great. The waitress was quick and polite. The food was delicious. I thought the BBQ combo and the Apple Pie were delicious. This place was almost much less expensive for higher quality food. I think more people need to find this gem.

A great little local diner; food was solid, service was good but our food took a while to come out. Decor is Vermont country kitsch. A nice bird feeder right outside the window and a gas fireplace complete the cozy ambiance. Good beer selection. Popular with the locals. You can't go wrong here if you are in Arlington and need to grab lunch.

Cozy, Outstanding Homey Food. We moved nearby last year and been wanting to try. Glad we did for lunch. Had quite possibly the best pastrami rubin ever. Wife BLT well made as well. We will become regulars here.

Very unassuming building by the side of the road. Wasn't sure what to expect but I had little expectations. We were seated on the back patio in a very charming atmosphere. The food was amazing and the service was not to be outdone by the food. One of the gems that I am always trying to turn up. Was extremely pleased!

We stopped here on our way home from Vermont. The service is a tad slow but everything else about this place is amazing. The food, the atmosphere, the staff. It felt just like home. Prices were reasonable. We would definitely eat here again!!

The food here is great. I haven't eaten anything off of the menu that I haven't liked. Chili and cornbread to die for. Turkey burgers amazing. Side of pickles, so addicting it's not funny. You've got to eat here if you are in the Arlington, VT area. I'd personally recommend any item on the menu.

Extremely good pancakes! I love how they have the Vermont Maple Syrup. The breakfast is one of the best that I have ever had. The staff is very friendly and nice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in this area.

My husband and I stopped at Chauncey's one day a couple of years ago and we just loved it, the restaurant, the owners the food, perfect! We keep coming here from NY every week, sometimes twice, we love the food and the atmosphere. So clean and quaint. We are so glad we live only an hour away. The trip is gorgeous also. It took an hour for our food to come out. Our burgers were almost raw when we asked for medium/well-- I was afraid to give them to my kids. Our waitress was so so. The hostess was really rude. I called the manager and he just said that the kitchen was busy and he would know having 45yrs of experience. What a horrible experience. Will never go back.

I will never set foot in that place again. Waitress was super rude. We had a coupon from restaurant.com and use them frequently and know how they work. Waitress was so rude and would not even listen. In the restrictions on the coupon it specifies restrictions. They would not accept it for lunch even though it is NEVER stated on the coupon. I contacted restaurant.com and I hope Chauncey's gets banned from them. I am extremely upset and disgusted with Chauncey's.

Nice Use of the Building.... Vermont does this as good as any other place in the Northeast. Take a house in town by the side of the road and convert it to a sit down restaurant with tables in what were probably the old parlor, family, and dining rooms. This place fit's that mold. Their angle is good ol' American stuff, and they did as good as flat-top grill cooks do at a Friendly's macro diner. What I will praise is their carrot cake. It was moist, nicely spiced, with real shredded al dente carrots in it, and not too sweet. But it's hard to recommend a place that has carrot cake as the best thing you ate. This is an okay place for families who can/might be able to afford it. I dropped a Benjamin feeding three adults, and two kids, without alcohol purchased. You do the math...
