Ardmore Pizza

We ordered a plain pizza with pepperoni on top from here, and asked for pick-up. They quickly took our order and were able to have it ready in the quoted time. When I arrived, the place was dingy and a little crammed, but they had my order ready to go as I arrived. The pizza was good not great. The sauce and cheese portion tasted good but the crust was dried out and pretty bland. This place might be a good for a mid-week pizza break.

Staff is extremely rude. If you commit the cardinal sin of asking for cheese sticks (instead of mozzarella sticks), it will take the staff a couple of minutes to figure out that you mean mozzarella sticks and then you get treated to customer-friendly gems like: "Next time, ask for mozzarella sticks instead of cheese sticks, because no one around here knows what cheese sticks are!" Not worth enduring that kind of treatment for the kind of product they sell.

I’m not sure what happened but after covid they switched their fry supplier and rumor has it around ardmore that they hired a new pizza chef. Needless to say the quality of the food has taken a swift dive meanwhile prices continue to increase. What was once a beloved neighborhood pizza shop has become a shell of itself and everyone in the local community has taken notice. There has been full twitter threads discussing AP’s downfall. All we want is for our local slice to return to its former glory.

Pizza just barely OK, not great, kinda mediocre, especially for the price and max size is 14" pie. You can see they've recently propped their ratings with vague 5-star ratings from 'Local Guides', so beware! Buffalo chix pizza tasted like butter with a tiny hint of Sriracha.The crust tasted like it was made beforehand then the sauce & toppings thrown on & baked -- kinda freezer burned tasting, too thick and tasted like stale crackers. Whole Foods Newtown has much better thin crust oven-fired pizza!! Much, much better pizza to be had in the Main Line area.
