The place is absolutely wonderful & I love eating here. It's clean with open ceilings & has a country farmhouse chic vibe . Food is made from the freshest ingredients & defiantly a higher quality than most these days I've eaten here many time & I've never been disappointed. That is if they haven't sold out of their famous carrot cake because that to me would be a huge disappointment. The chicken fried steak is delightful. The spin is the jalapeno gravy. Not to hot it has just enough zing to carry it over the top. I get the the baby red mashed potatoes plus the alley side salad. Actually all of their salads are always fresh. Then combined with the homemade blue cheese dressing, it's win for me. Don't forget to order the small pan of cornbread. Tastes better than granny's which is saying a lot. Yum! I usually get the fried green beans as a starter because of the sauce that gives it a little something extra. But the homemade hot pimento cheese or smoked trout dips are fantastic as well. The waffle cut sweet potatoes are good too. They have other desserts but for me none shine as bright as their decadent carrot cake. Which I might add is big enough for 2 to eat. I call it a mountain of sin on a plate & yes it has lots of calories . So I recommend sharing or taking one half of it home to have with your next mornings coffee. All portions are bigger than usual so the cost is defiantly worth it. Many of their items are big enough to share. Which with my crew we do often. Lastly the "Bloody Mary" is to die for. I'm usually a frozen margarita girl but not here. Enjoy!

This restaurant is a GEM in this little town of Ardmore, OK! We seen this place online and wanted to try it and went there at 6:30pm and there was a 2 hour wait. We tried again the next day and got there at 4:45 pm (opens at 5 pm) and there was already a line. We got seated right away and our server, Mesa, was fantastic. The service all around is amazing here. All the workers helped in sync like getting extra plates, cleaning off tables, or expediting food to the tables. You constantly see the workers moving. The food was absolutely amazing. We started with the queso fries which our family devoured. Then we got steaks, salads and chicken Alfredo and all of our dishes were so delicious. We also got carrot cake and the ice cream sandwich for dessert. Both were good. Also wanted to mention that the sweet tea here is perfect! We would come back here.

The chicken fried steak had a good flavor. That mac and cheese was awful, no taste, simply bland. My mom had cook shack chicken and fell in love with it. All the staff was great and the location was easy to find. The prices were high but u get a lot of food, albeit tasteless.

Positives: in a super cool vintage building with exposed brick. The food was excellent and the portions were large. Our waitress was knowledge and attentive. It had a very fun vibe and looked like it was a local favorite. My roast chicken and my husband's Southern Burger were wonderful. Not so positive: there was no one at the hostess desk so we waited quite a bit for someone to notice us. We were only given one menu for all 3 of us. When our waitress came I asked if they had a kids menu. She said they didn't but was able to tell me what they had for kids. We chose a cheeseburger. When we received her food it was a huge portion which of course was fine. When we got the bill, my 4 year old's meal was $11! If I had known that in advance I would have just shared with her.

This place was so good! And fast! Even at 8pm on Saturday night was seated quickly at the bar and food took less than ten minutes. Bartender Angie very personable and sweet. Unique historic building and good made from scratch daily. I got salad chicken and spinach with strawberries and pecan, I know lame but no it was delicious and wasabi ranch is a must. Hubby got the turkey sandwich they gave him a giant mound of fries. Very happy will be back.

This is going to ruffle feathers, but, I feel Cafe Alley food is over rated. I have eaten here many time thinking that maybe they had an off night the last time. I have tried many different foods here and almost everything comes out being bland. Neither good flavor nor bad. I honestly feel that this is one of those places that no one wants to admit that it is just not that great food wise, especially for the price. Great staff, great atmosphere, drinks aren't bad, but I can pass on the food. This is just my opinion, take it as you choose. But, I am fairly confident that you will feel the same about the food.

A MUST eat when you visit Ardmore! I got the smoked chicken cobb salad with house vinegarette and it was enough for 2 people! Could taste the smokiness of the chicken. Husband got the shrimp tacos and loved them. Kids got Mac and cheese with French fries, probably the best Mac and cheese we have ever eaten! Of course we read prior reviews so we had to try the carrot cake and OMG I am not sure what they put in that besides carrots but I could have gorged myself on just cake🤤 Service was amazing, bathrooms clean, and drinks we great! We will def be back anytime we camp at Lake Murray!

Normally there is a long wait so please be aware it is normally 30 minutes to an hour depending on party size. However once you are seated it is one of the best dining experiences in southern Oklahoma. Great food at a good price and staff is friendly and courteous and even when restaurant is at full capacity the wait staff is buy constantly making sure your experience is top notch. Thanks my daughter had an awesome 19th birthday there this evening.
