Bean Vegan Cuisine

My mom and I go here every Saturday before doing our weekly grocery shopping. It's my favourite restaurant in the world. The best burgers I've ever had, the first tofu I've ever enjoyed, and some of the nicest fries in the country(well, to my knowledge) are all here. Also, the servers are always delightful & the decorations are fun.

So good we ate here twice in one day! Absolutely fantastic. For breakfast my wife and I both picked the breakfast bowl. I was intrigued by the tofu scrambled “eggs” and carrot bacon. The plate was huge, and I really wish I could have kept eating. So good! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect. We sat out on the patio. Later that evening we ordered burgers to go for dinner. I had the old fashion burger. The patty was a little thin and it seemed a bit like a sloppy joe (that burger has chili on it) but there was no short comings regarding flavor. We also tried the Mac and cheese, queso, and steamed kale. All delicious.

As a vegan for 7 years I recommend the cowboy Burger and the tater tot casserole. Just the best I have encountered. Wish you could be open 7 days a week. With half of the family vegan and half not--we ALL enjoyed eating here. With a family of 10 to accommodate, the staff was helpful to move around tables so we could sit together. Thank you! My husband had their vegan "crab" dish and loved it (he's not vegan). I had their "Cowboy" burger which was very tasty. Save room for dessert!

Absolutely delicious food!! This is Southern Comfort food done vegan and oh so good. The menu is massive so it may take you some time to decide! Can recommend the crabbie patties and cheese steak. Yum!!! We loved that though it's comfort food, it's not overly salted or oily. You can always add some salt to give extra umf, but so many vegan junk food places make way too salty food so we were happy that wasn't the case here. Slight misses were the gravy and Mac and cheese. Not bad but lacking in the layers of flavor found in their other dishes. Mac was basically just nutritional yeast sauce, gravy was similar. Cheesecake was absolutely amazing!!! Made in house and topped with compote and whipped cream. Fantastic. Don't let the basic, old school ambiance deter you - they make most of their food from scratch and it's super tasty! Prices were great too.
