Came here with seven family members two of them being Yorky teacup puppies. The 5 burritos in the bag and the bacon cup for two puppers were heavy being made with dedication. Totally recommend if you are hungry and want to be served to full fill!!!
It was my first time visiting, and I have to say that the service could not have been friendlier. They were chatty and told us all about their fresh house made sauces and their new mural they recently added inside. You can tell a lot of love goes into this little college-friendly burrito place! It reminded me of such a pure sense of community love.
There are plenty of vegan-friendly options. I got a burrito for the road -- a perfect travel lunch!
This place is a local gem. The service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. Try the "paste of death" sauce if you're looking for something on the hotter side.
Amazing food and wonderful vegan and vegetarian options. Lots of people ordered ahead and got their food quicker, which might be worth doing. Definitely recommend this place for a yummy and healthy place to eat! Staff was also very friendly.
The food was excellent. It was a friendly atmosphere for our family of 7. We felt super accomodated with my daughters dietary restrictions. The death paste brought it, fair warning. The lime cilantro was amazing. A definite revisit.
Random stop just driving into town and we are soooo in love with our tofu tacos and Dirty Hippy Burrito that we are moving to Arcata. The tastes hit every spot. Thank you for making tofu fun for vegheads.
I mean what can you say, if you want a bomb burrito this is the place! I can’t answer for all of them but I can for those looking for vegan/plant based options. The vegan burritos are legit! Added jalapeños and verde sauce it really hit the spot. It is take out only at this time but as long as the food is great that’s all that matters. They have drinks to go as well! Lots of vegan, vegetarian and regular options for all!

This is my 3rd time going after a friend has worked there half a decade ago. New owners now but the super nacho vegetarian burrito was pretty good. I remember it being better before but my friend ordered for me and got the world so next time I'll hopefully do better at ordering. They have vegan and vegetarian specific options and are pretty affordable for a rich beach college town. They even let me use their restroom altho I don't know if that was different then usual during the heavy pandemic. Good place to find in Arcata!
Let me tell ya the story of the Arcata institution called Hey Juan Burrito. Now Juan was a good hearted guy but he had a serious addiction.....he loved to climb mountains! One day Juan was sitting on top of a mountain in tibet and he said to himself...man this climbing is great but it is getting expensive, maybe I should open a Burrito place in northtown close to the college where people can get alot of food for a good price. SO HE DID! Back in the day I would walk in there and once in a while between his mountaineering trips Juan would be kicking back and having a beer and I would say Hey Juan! 👋 He always displayed pictures of the mountains he had climbed on the walls and if ya bought him a beer he would spin ya a good tale. The place has changed hands a couple time since then but the premise is the same good food and good beers at a good price.
Visiting from out of state, was looking for a good brunch and we found Hey Juan’s!
Burritos were amazingly good, the death paste salsa was amazing to eat with the burritos and the guys provided great service even with all the Covid -19 restrictions.

Good quick burrito place with lots of options. Staff friendly and helpful. Limited seating, so best for to go orders. Beer, Cider and Mimosas ready to pair with your food.
I gotta believe the food was ahhh-mazing considering the smiles on everyone's faces 🙂 Unfortunately I wasn't hungry 😭
But I will be back!! Cuz I loved this place 2o+ years ago, it's still around, and people are still requesting it when I offer to grab em lunch somewhere!
