We did not stumble across this place by accident. A friend knew we were going up north and asked if it was not too far out of the way if we could pick up some of the mustard sauce this place is locally known for. Since it was about lunch time anyway we decided to eat here. Staff was friendly the food was amazing and the vibe was chill. They also carried my new favorite caned drink Armless Palmer and Reed’s “strongest” which I had never seen before and very excited to try. Back to the food, they didn’t it hold back on the fixings of the Izzy’s Guac & Lox. I will definitely need to thank my friend for the stop.

I drove 26 hours from Idaho for these bagels that I remembered from my childhood. They did not disappoint & are even better than I remembered. I ended up getting almost one of everything of their baked goods and was happily surprised because I loved them all. I also got a beautiful mug that is MASSIVE for only $28 and they filled it with a free drink of my choice (try the Mexican Hot Chocolate). The vibes are immaculate to just chill here for even eat on the patio area and appreciate the mural/artwork.

Absolutely delicious and a Humboldt staple! I’ve been dreaming about the bagel I had since I last visited! Highly recommend grabbing breakfast at Los Bagels!

Love this place! Fresh food, awesome area and super cool vibe ☮️ The street picture is no longer accurate of the layout. They have converted the left side parking lot into outdoor seating. This really makes for an inviting place to chill if you are not sitting in the equally as inviting inside. Grabbed an everything bagel with creme cheese. Everything was fresh, simple and spectacular! For sure check this place out during a morning grind session. You'll love everything about it especially the staff.

This review is long overdue! My bf and I had spent the night in Arcata and decided to grab some breakfast before we left. Wow what a great decision that was. To begin, we walked in and not two mins later there was a line out the door-we missed the crowd. We chatted with the very nice people in line and looked at all the wonderful breads. As we were paying for our bagel sandwiches one of the staff members gives us the loaf of bread we were admiring! Already enjoying the atmosphere that seemed palpably aligned, we ate our food. The bread melted in our mouths, the bagels were delicious and crafted with good ingredients and their chai was the best I’ve ever had. We love this place and think about it often. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Los Bagels for a wonderful memory.

This place came highly recommended from two folks familiar with the area including a local. I'm always in search of decent bagels outside of New York. I had the Grandpa Goren which has lox, cream cheese, red onions and capers. I was only going to eat half but ended up eating the whole thing. I couldn't even wait to take a picture before taking a bite. It's hard to say how it compares to New York bagels since that test, at least for me, works on untoasted with just cream cheese to see if it's crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. My husband, whose test involves a toasted bagel with cream cheese, insists that it is pretty good. The line got pretty long after we arrived but try seem to move quickly. Lots of seating outside in picnic benches. Restroom is pretty clean too.

I hate to say this because everyone in this small town loves this place and maybe they don’t know what good bagels taste like. That said, my everything bagel was probably the best tasting bagel I ever had in my life. I’d give it 6 stars but the wait on Sunday morning was about a half hour long.

If you are looking for a quick place to have a delicious breakfast, lunch or snack - look no further. This. Is. It. Excellent bagel shop, a must go every time I come visit. The bagels are delicious and fresh. So many unique things about this place - I love that they make ‘slugs’ which are long bagels instead of circular, the home made everything bagel seasoning that they refer to as ‘slug slime’ is spectacular, and the fact that you can get larrupin (local dill mustard that is amazing). They have an awesome menu with lots of different options but you can also make your own. If you are new to the area or just visiting , make sure to take a jar of larrupin sauce home and a bottle of their slug slime! It is 100% worth it. They always have a great selection of their merch and local items to take home - although it might seem slightly pricey these are all excellent quality and worth every penny. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Additionally, they have GREAT Covid precautions. Everyone I saw was masked, no indoor eating and the tables outside were well spaced out. I felt completely safe and comfortable.

While on a road trip through the area we decided to stop here for breakfast. The vibe/energy was great and the food was even better. The service was quick and the employees were happy to answer all of our questions since the menu is pretty extensive with sooo many options. Delicious coffee, amazing bagels, great service. 100% 5/5 stars. Don't miss this place.

Charming spot with a beautiful origin story. This place was on top of my list for my two day visit. Vegan/vegetarian friendly with great coffee, sweets, and canned drinks. Kicking myself for not buying some merch.

There's nothing like this place anywhere in the central valley. I'd make the 6 hr trip just to eat here. Such simple food but always hits the spot no matter what. Bagels always fresh. Everything always fresh. Might see a line but that's always a good sign of excellent food from great establishments.

Stopped here on our way up the coast and omg. The Thai bagel (peanut butter, cucumbers, carrots, scallions, sesame seeds, jalapeño jelly) is amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever had before - perfectly crunchy, spicy, and has a hint of sweetness with the jalapeño jelly. My husband got the lox and said that was amazing, too! We also got coffee (delish) and some cookies (the lime corn and snickerdoodle are seriously delicious). Will definitely be back!!

Hands down the best bagelry I’ve ever been too! If you’re in town or passing by this is a must. Great bagels made fresh and with super fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Slug bagel with their famous slug slime everything topping. You can also buy their topping bottled to take home. This visit I had the slug with cream cheese, lox, capers, and red onion. It was soooo good! ❤️

Gem worth checking out if you’re in the area - I got the Cucubin pictured below, the slug (long everything bagel) w cucumber, cream cheese, larrupin (mustard-y sauce) and slug sauce (everything seasoning) It was so good, layered really well so you get all the flavors in each bite. Pastry was great as well, and the wonderful girl on counter was a help in answering all my questions and making reccomendations. I would for sure come back here if I was in Arcata or Eureka area again.

Yesterday was the Fourth of July Jubilee in the plaza, an event that could have produced immense amounts of waste if beer was served in plastic cups and all the food on disposable plates. Instead, beer was served in reusable restaurant-style cups and some food vendors used reusable restaurant-style plates. This choice allowed for the community to have a great day of music, food and fun without the cost of thousands of disposable cups and plates entering landfills and lining our streets. Los Bagels saved our community from all that waste. With so many more people than dishes, those cups and plates needed to be cleaned and sent back out and Eddie and the crew at Los Bagels took on the task of dish washing an event they didn't even have a booth at, while maintaining the workload of holiday traffic at their restaurant. Because of their kindness and their effort, our community enjoyed a holiday celebration, good beer and good food while reducing the negative impact such events can have on the planet. Los Bagels makes damn good food, they even have vegan options for weirdos like me. They're talented people who care about our community. They're kind individuals who are willing to take on more than they have to for the betterment of others. They blast MF DOOM on the speakers, they hook you up with great coffee and we are so lucky to have a quality restaurant staffed with quality individuals. Thank you to every Los Bagels employee who put in more work than they had to. Thank you to Eddie for being an incredible leader. If ever I am hungry, you can find me in line at Los Bagels, 5 stars doesn't begin to tell you just how wonderful this place is. It's neat you exist.
