My husband and I visited Arcata, CA at the end of August. Our Airbnb host actually recommended the restaurant! The restaurant was very busy. The server was able to make things work to get us a table (we didn't have a reservation)! She was friendly and communicative. We ordered the Golden Tofu as an appetizer. It was so good! My husband and I split an order of the Padd Khee Mao (Drunken Noodles) the spice as delicious, but we thought the dish was lacking a little flavor. We were overall impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere! Highly recommend!!
We went on a Friday night while visiting the area - while the atmosphere was vibrant, they were definitely short staffed and we waited quite a long time for our food. The waiters were incredibly nice and working their hardest so they’re not to blame.
The food was pretty good overall - good pad see ew, the yellow curry was fine; both pretty small portion sizes. Perhaps not worth the wait but would go back at a less busy time.
If you are looking for Thai in Humboldt county, this is the place, also one of the few but the food is good and the owners are great people. I definitely recommend getting appetizers with your meal! And the sticky mango rice for dessert.
The only complaint is it is a little pricey.
I lived In Humboldt for 12 years and I tried this restaurant last ninth for me and my husband’s 11 year anniversary. Great food, great people, and great vibes. I highly recommend. It was very delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

First look, it’s a restaurant in a strip mall near a Safeway. Don’t let that fool you. This place is solid! Food was excellent. Price is right. Service was friendly and attentive. If we didn’t live in MN, we would frequent Bencharong often.
I've only been in Humboldt for two years and it was my first time tonight at Bencharong with my wife. We moved from Virginia in 2021. We have nothing but good things to say about Bencharong. The food, the service, and the atmosphere...just fantastic! And Greg made us feel so welcomed. Thank you so much, man. We will definitely come back! ❤

By far the best thai place in the area. Food is incredible, if on the pricier side for Arcata standards. Wait staff has always been friendly, and the owner, who has waited my table many times, always makes an effort to be friendly. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something a little fancier but worth every penny.

Great Thai food and services. The restaurant is warm and cozy. A little pricy for the portion but totally worth it. Would recommend!

Best Thai restaurant in Humboldt County. Good selection of entrees and have never had a bad experience with what I’ve ordered over the many trips I’ve made here. 10/10
Fantastic food! Friendly accomodating owner and server. Great chef. Must be the best, freshest, most authentic Thai food around. Definitely make a reservation if you go on the weekend.
