Ate here twice over the weekend and was not disappointed. Had Shrimp tempura which was actually really good. Able to carb up for a race with the pasta side that came with the shrimp. It was a lot of food, and all tasted good. See yall next year when I'm back for another race.
A nice country restaurant. The liver and onions were outstanding. The fish was overdone around the edges where the filet was thinner... but otherwise, the sandwich was good. Ice tea was in an extra large glass, nice. And the sweet potato fries were delicious 😋.
We will return again.
I loved the shrimp pasta dish. It was really good.
Honestly, when we walked in, we were so close to walking out. I had taken Jeff there for his birthday and we wanted something special and this didn't look like that kind of place. The decor almost turned us around but we are so happy we stayed! We ordered the cajun crawfish appetizer and to our pleasant surprise, it was just the crayfish meat, No Shells! It was only $6.50 and it was delicious! We then moved onto our meal. I ordered the seafood platter broiled and it came with a side and the all you can eat salad bar. My seafood was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I couldn't believe how well this chef could cook! Jeff ordered a steak and asked for medium rare. The steak came and it was the perfect temperature. This place was one of my favorite surprises for a restaurant. You have got to try it!
We did not eat here. We wanted breakfast. The buffet looked good and priced well. Service was good. Interior was dingy. We only had drinks. Sweet tea was good. They do not have breakfast.
It was a nice place good food ...they had some type of reunion but still plenty of room!
The food is great but what sets this place apart in my book is that the atmosphere is pure small town diner.
And as of this summer, the buffet is back! It's not huge but between the main course food case and the salad bar food case, you won't leave hungry!
Excellent steak and the price is great. The steak is cooked exactly the way you asked for it to be cooked and you get more than enough to fill your belly.
Visit the restaurant a couple of times a year. I'm a full-time RVer and go to Acardia RV Parks nearby. I live in SW Florida and look forward to going to Reef & Beef when in town. The meals are great!
I'm writing this review a week after visit, simply because I feel bad for not reviewing it right away.
This is a great restaurant if you like classical American food, with specializing on beef, no surprise since Floridian beef country is right near. We tried fried okra, stuffed jalapenos and onion rings - everything was finger licking good. Meats were cooked the way I requested. Shrimps were juicy and tasty. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, with honest staff.
Overall - definitely will be stopping again!
Food is fantastic. Nice atmosphere. The restaurant is nice and they have a separate lounge where they have great live music, pool tables, all smoke free. Bartender Amanda is amazing!!
1st time...
as you can see we came in in a good mood to enjoy our lunch from our picture...
the food is very tasty and this place has a wide variety from escargot, french onion soup, buffalo wings, homey blt sandwiches, banging burgers and beer bater onion rings and what looks like a great buffet...
our server though needs to learn to stage her orders... that an appetizer comes first then soup and salad... then meals... not one persons meal then an app and soup together then follwed immediately by another persons plate and then finally a couple minutes later the final plate...
she never check on us and we had to flag her down 3 times because she was more interested in the regulars than treating everyone like valued customers equally... so we left with our food because it felt wierd ..
again... it was good food though!!!
Enjoyed this place greatly! Ribeye steak was delicious and huge, not thick but covering the plate. Mom's sirloin was well done to her liking. Chicken sandwich was good. Burger was delicious and large sized but rare, not medium and missing the cheese. The included salad was a trip to the salad bar which seemed unspectacular but better than average. Baked potato, roasted potatoes and fries were all good, not great, and not seasoned much. Butter and sour cream were in individual packets but at least they were both the real things, not imitations. No fresh bread like menu says but we didn't miss it. Service was a little slow and cool but it was right during rodeo crowd so very busy. Atmosphere is nothing special but not overly loud even when very crowded. Best part of the evening were the delicious steaks and good value for the price. Love supporting local restaurants that aren't a chain and provide good value. We'll definitely return.
My favorite restaurant in Arcadia, best burgers and everything sides.. Huge menu.. they do stop taking orders 8pm Sharp!!
We just moved to the area and went here with our out of town guests. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Good salad bar and steaks. Friendly and prompt service. Good portions.
The food and service for call in order was good. Once we got there to pick up our oreder really felt the negative vibes. The other patrons inside dining gave us looks as though we didn't belong.
