I would eat at the Butter Churn any time. The food is absolutely the best. I have never eaten there and left dissatisfied and the employees are a cut above the rest. They treat everyone like they are welcomed.
So worth the drive. So many choices of food to choose from. Great service. Highly recommend for the price. Go early cause they get crowded.
Hands down the BEST buffet in the Coastal Bend. The food is so delicious! Always the spot we agree on whenever we are having that “where do you want to eat?” Argument. It’s worth the drive.
All waitress are awesome but had a young Hispanic girl this past Friday 3-9-18 that was awesome waitress even my nieces kids were happy with our waitress. Love going there. I’m from Austin and will always return

This is a great place to eat! So good I fact that we ate lunch and came back for dinner! The bread pudding brought back memories of my grandma, just the way she made it. The fried chicken was delish!!!

Great selection of food, food was a little dry but overall great experience! Dessert tasted all sugar free tho, i wish there was multiple options there, just needed a little more flavor.
This is one of the best home cooking buffets around! The food is always hot and fresh tasting, plus it's always kept up with. The menu changes every day, and they have food for everyone in the family. The staff is always refilling and cleaning around the buffet area. The waitresses and waiters are very attentive and super friendly, awsome place to bring the entire family!!!
If you are hungry, this is the place to go! Lots of great choices, with my favorite being the bread pudding. Our waitress, Denise, was terrific. The atmosphere is nice, and I loved the local art sold there.
Definitely will come again.
Quality, temperature and presentation was excellent! This is a buffet that serves a variety of meat to include chicken fried steak, roast beef, ribs and seafood, a wide variety of vegetables, salads, fruits and deserts.
The wait staff are so helpful and kind. Our waitress was understanding and showed great compassion for my father while we stayed their for lunch. Their manager came outside and assisted my father into the truck.
I fully recommend for a delicious meal and an enjoyable time.
Yum.Yum.Yum worth the drive out there. If you are not a spiritual/ religious Christian or like Southern Hospitality by country folk, just know their decor and workers are Christian-heavy and you’ll know you are out in the country. If this is going to offend you then this is not the place for you. May not be for everyone, but the food is to die for, like Jesus died for our sins.

Everything on the Buffet line is fresh and cooked just right. These folks take their time preparing and pride themselves doing so.
The staff is great and friendly and extremely courteous Elida our server was on top of things making sure we had all that we needed i highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Each day is different delicious food items so you're sure to like it any time of the week .

This is a very well run, old school buffet.
The steak was tender and cooked properly. The catfish was fresh and plentiful. The salad bar and sides had good selections.
The service was very friendly and professional. A solid choice for families.
It is $18/per adult, but was worth it.
This was our first visit to Butter Churn. We’ve driven by several times but not stopped. We are so glad we did! The food was great. This was the first buffet style restaurant we’ve gone to that was clean, hot food was hot and cold food was cold. The variety of items available was great, something for everyone! The service was very good as well. The restaurant was pretty busy but we did not have to wait for a table at all. If you haven’t tried this place, I highly recommend it.
This was our 2nf visit to Butter Churn and we have enjoyed it both times. The food is fresh and hot, which is not always the case at a buffet. They also have a large salad bar. The dessert bar seems to always have cobblers and bread pudding.

I stand corrected. My innate culinary snobbiness had always kept me away from here -- just another grazing style restaurant of overly processed, high calorie, low flavor food. I was wrong in this case! A locally run, family friendly restaurant, the Butter Churn is indeed a big-buffet style establishment, but they differ in that the food is actually prepared in a kitchen by the hands of folks who know how to cook. The result: a wide array of tasty options that really were satisfying. The wait staff are attentive and friendly; they truly seemed to enjoy their job. The decor is cute, even if a bit kitschy -- but that's refreshing in today's filter-heavy world. I wouldn't necessarily eat here every day, but it's a great place for a good home-style meal that is reasonably priced and offers plenty of options. Additionally, you can choose fairly healthy or quite unhealthy, but that's your call. No judgement allowed! (I did a bit of both, and I must say -- the peach cobbler and marshmallow "fluff" were worth every sugary calorie!)

Great wait staff. Food is fresh. Nice variety on the easily accessible buffet with choices that change daily. Building and interior are nothing to really talk about - just a big room with rows of tables. There is a cute gift shop at the front.
Overall great experience. Good tasting food at reasonable prices, with good service. We will be back!
Drove from Victoria to try it out. Wish we knew about the daily menu first. None the less good food and Melisa was great give her a raise.
This is a buffet style restaurant. Everything I've tried has been great. The catfish is my favorite. Cheerful, friendly staff. Natasha was a wonderful server. I definitely recommend!!

My son & I went to eat there for Thanksgiving. 1 line wrapped around the building, the other not so much. We had about 30 a min. Wait. People were moving in & out quickly. Our server was the best. She was on top of keeping our glasses full. Very polite and attentive. Her name is Trinyti Rayford. She was attentive to all of her tables!! ❤️
Best food around. Great service. Lots of choices and all taste fantastic. Definitely visit anytime we are in town.
