Review The Highland Manor - Apopka

We recently photographed a wedding at The Highland Manor in Apopka and we definitely recommend it for couples looking for a beautiful historic venue. The grounds are stunning, the ceremony location is a dream and the reception and getting ready areas are perfect for wedding photographs. We added some photos from our last wedding here as samples for you to check out and get some ideas! The staff was amazing and very helpful and professional. 5 stars all around!

King Entertainment Events (Orlando, FL) performed a wedding at Highland Manor over the weekend, and the staff was top-notch. We love being a preferred vendor at this venue! From the moment the team arrived until they left, it was 5-star service across the board the staff was very accommodating. Working with their team was fantastic! They set the bar high when it comes to wedding venues. Great experience!

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal, here at the Highland Manor! hosted by The Awesomeness that is, "The Tap Room at Dubsdread" catering department! The location is SO beautiful! And of course the Food from The Tap Room at Dubsdread is Always On Point!! And, Thank you to the staff for making our Thanksgiving, and our Anniversary, so special!!!

The presentation for a recent celebration of life was dignified and nice. The food was lovely. Thank you. The servers were refined and respectful of the family and guests.

I do not even know where to begin! Our wedding was beyond amazing and Bonnie deserves an award! She had everything done perfectly! She put my vision of what I wanted and made it 20 times better. Nelson our butler for the evening was so attentive and he was always there when we needed him. The whole process of working with Highland Manor, Bonnie, and the crew was so smooth. The food was amazing, our guests were so happy with the event and my husband and I were beyond blown away. Thank you so much Bonnie, Nelson, and the Highland team we love you guys!

Attended a wedding reception at this venue. It was top notch all the way. Service was great and food was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Amazing. Beautiful. The staff is Great. Location is perfect and the venue, the setting and the history is priceless. We had our wedding here and it couldn’t be more beautiful. You get the whole venue to yourself, separate areas for guys and girls to get ready. There’s a whole second floor that was just for me and my girls, absolutely amazing. Lots of space inside and outside. Would get married here again over and over again. They cater and have a full bar, day of coordinator and full staff, one stop shop is the best decision to make for a wedding, everything covered by one vendor. We had a buffet but they also do plated dinners, lots of food to choose from and the food is never cold when served. It’s not just for weddings but also for private or corporate events for any occasion. The location is really private, away from the roads and noise. 100 stars!!!!!!

Beautiful & historic wedding venue! Michelle from the Highland Manor was a gem to work with; she took the edge off wedding planning and was flexible given we signed our contract in 2019, for our wedding in 2020 not knowing Covid would be a thing (We planned our wedding from afar - Chicago)! We shifted our wedding to be outdoor to accommodate guests level of comfort. For our open bar - we could request special alcohol for our guests & the venue accommodate specific food request - both dietary & cultural.

Can't recommend Highland Manor, Bonnie, and the rest of the staff enough. I had a picture perfect wedding because of them. The food, venue, and staff was amazing. I love that they offer a butler for the wedding party so we could enjoy the cocktails and appetizers while taking pictures. When a cold front came through and my bridesmaids were wearing strapless dresses, Bonnie and Gion gave the girls warmed blankets. Bonnie has the perfect balance between being a friend, but also getting the job done well. Gion, our butler, made sure we were never without food or a drink, and he even bustled my dress for me! The venue is absolutely gorgeous. I can't imagine having it any other place. Thanks y'all. <3 The Bradleys

My wife and I had our wedding at Highland Manor on February 26, 2016, and wow… I cannot honestly say enough positive things about this venue and staff. We fell in love with the venue immediately; both the ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful and had an incredible amount of charm. After we booked the venue for the wedding, we then began to love the staff at Highland Manor. The entire staff is very courteous, cares about all your small details, and communication is extremely fast. Bonny was our day-of coordinator and she was out of the world, amazing to us throughout the whole process. When it finally came to our wedding day, we were even more impressed with the food, service, and staff of the Highland Manor. All of our guests (especially those who have been to many weddings) would not stop talking about how our wedding was one of the best they’ve ever been to and went on and on about the venue and the food. Best of all, the bridal party has a butler before the ceremony that will get you whatever you need, including drinks. Our butler was Giam, who was incredible. He made sure my wife and I ALWAYS had a fresh, cold drink in our hands the ENTIRE night. We have never seen service like that. I would highly recommend looking into Highland Manor for your venue. They are first and foremost a catering company, so you know the food is going to be top notch. Everything else is just a bonus, and big bonuses at that. My wife and I were able to make this venue truly ours for our special day, so do not think for a second this is a generic wedding venue. Brian & Joanna Hendrick

We were just married at the Manor on Jan. 21st and it was simply fantastic! From the helpful friendly staff, to the creative decorating ideas of our decor, venue beauty, and overall experience was amazing. Many of our guests mentioned how it was one of the best weddings they have been too. Classy but fun with an affordable price. Bonny was our day of coordinator and she helped guide us all through the process and responded quickly to our emails and questions. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The 1 location for the ceremony and reception is so convenient and easy for everyone. Our bridal party butler is a great touch that comes with the venue and catered to us the whole evening. He even helped me lace up my dress! They also give you a list of recommended vendors who are familiar with the venue which is a plus. I highly recommend the Manor to have your wedding! Just beautiful!

My husband and I were married at Highland Manor on March, 13th 2016. My advice to brides and grooms who look at Highland Manor is... GET MARRIED HERE! The entire process was a breeze. Bonny was so helpful from day 1. She answered constant e-mails and understood my style and vision from just a few pictures. I had nothing to worry about. There was a 50% chance of rain on the day of our wedding and unfortunately we ended up having the ceremony in the grand ball room. However, I cannot say enough about how amazing the set up crew made it and how quickly they were able to take down the seats outside and setup everything inside! They included all the decorations we were planning to have outside and Bonny made my vision come to life inside. Gian, our personal server was SO helpful and one of the nicest and attentive people I have ever met. He followed us around with drinks and food while we were taking our photos and checked on the girls and guys several times while we were getting ready. He made sure we were comfortable and had everything and anything we needed at all times. My husband and I had never seen service like that! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food tasted, and how nice the staff was. Most said it was the smoothest and best wedding they had ever been to! Choosing Highland Manor as our wedding venue was the best decision I could've made.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at this beautiful venue. The staff was amazing! Super friendly, organized, very helpful, and accommodating. The food was delicious! The venue is very spacious, beautiful, and provides tons of options for weddings. Totally recommend! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to share more photos! :)

My wedding was this past Wednesday and Bonny and The Highland Manor staff were nothing short of amazing!!! They made sure my Husband and I wedding day went smoothly And that everything was perfect!

Highland Manor, Bonny, and Dubsdread Catering are AMAZING! They were an absolute pleasure to work with and Bonny helped make sure we had the most perfect wedding day. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue than this one! The main house is very elegant inside and out. The outside portion of the house made for some amazing photos and provided the perfect back drop for our ceremony by the big oak tree. Bonny did an exceptional job as the day of coordinator and everything went smoothly and as planned on the day of. As a bride, it was great to know that Bonny could and would handle anything and she made sure we had a perfect, stress-free day. The staff is very hardworking and made the day enjoyable for every guest that was present on our special day. We even had butler for the day who made sure we stayed hydrated and had food to eat. To Bonny and the Dubsdread team, we can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work! Thank you for ensuring that we had the most perfect day imaginable and exceeding any and all expectations we had. Dubsdread provided the catering service at Highland Manor and it was phenomenal! Nearly every guest we talked to made it a point to mention how great the food was! Highland Manor is absolutely perfect and beautiful place to have a wedding! Dubsdread Catering and their team helped make our day perfect. We would highly recommend having your wedding or special event at Highland Manor, especially if you want to have a great time!

Unfortunately, I️ did not have the experience that other people had with this venue. I️ have never been nickel and dimed so much in my entire life and it’s shocking to me the way my experience has been handled. Following my first dance, our DJ announced that our tables would be released to go to the buffet stations. Yet shockingly, the food was not out. All of my guests sat around for 20 minutes while there was zero communication between the banquet staff and my wedding coordinators. Finally, the DJ decided we should do toasts to fill the awkward silence. Then, after the toasts had finished, there was still 15 minutes that we waited around until the food finally came out. While this doesn’t sound like a lot, 35 minutes counts for quite a lot of time when your entire wedding lasts from 5-10pm. When I️ tried to speak to the venue owner, he told me I️ shouldn’t have hired my own coordinators. Like I’m going to only have a day off coordinator provided by the venue when I️ have so much more going on that I️ need help with?! Obviously this venue doesn’t know how to work with others. They pretty much blamed my coordinators for them not handling the timeline, when really the issue was that the food was not ready on time. And do you think they offered me a cent back? Nope, nothing. They told me to “agree to disagree.” I️ gave them the opportunity to make it right and they weren’t interested. While this venue is beautiful, I️ wouldn’t recommend them if you have your own coordinators since they obviously don’t play well with others. They told me that they didn’t know the food was supposed to be out after my first dance because no one told them. What a joke. There was a printed timeline that made it very clear that food was supposed to be out following the first dance. Our day of coordinator provided by the venue was hardly around the entire day. Not only that, but they charged me $150 an hour to get ready at the venue! I️ Work in hospitality, and I️ can assure you, no hotel would charge for half the things that Highland Manor charged me for. And there were a bunch of communication issues since the venue kept misspelling my last name in my email address, causing me to not receive emails. honestly, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. I️ will say however that our butler Jim was great, he was probably the highlight of our experience with Highland.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Highland Manor and the Dubsdread team! The venue is incredible - they have a space for everything. Outside ceremony, inside ceremony, cocktail hour, groomsman area, Bridal suite, two bars, buffet space, reception hall! Everything is beautiful and held to the highest standard. The entire staff was so willing to help and respond to emails. Bonny and G and the rest of the team assigned to us worked tirelessly to make our day perfect. Bonny made sure every detail was exactly what I wanted. G our Butler was BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS! He followed us with food and drinks all night making sure we were attended to every step of the way. Anything we needed he did. What a sweet and incredible guy!? The food was amazing - I got so many compliments! The bartenders made the night - awesome drinks! I loved everything about Highland and the team! We are truely thrilled with the way our wedding turned out and felt Highland was a great value for all you get

Christine and Michelle and the Dubsdread catering team are ROCKSTARS! They were very professional and wonderful to work with. They were thoughtful during our wedding planning sessions and had wonderful suggestions to make the event smooth. They were quick to save the day wherever needed, so I could relax and enjoy! It was a perfect venue for a gorgeous wedding. I'm incredibly appreciative of their service and hard work.

The staff at Highland Mannor are truly five star. They go way beyond the norm to take care of wedding clients so for Jenna Michele Photography it is always a joy to photograph at this venue!

Not only is The Highland Manor a stunning venue with incredible historic charm and tons of character, but they have the best staff around! I was beside myself at how attentive and hospitable every member of their staff was to not only me (the bride) but to all of my guests! I received compliments all night about how amazing the venue and staff were. And a very special thank you to Corey and Andrew (and the rest of the coordinating team) for making my day perfect! Corey was my coordinator and the amount of attention he gave to all the little details was perfect! He made sure my day was everything I dreamed of and more! Thank you for being there to fix the snafus so I did not have to! And Andrew was our head waiter and boy did he kick but at his job! He made sure I had everything I needed the entire day, which included following us around the venue with a tray of food and drinks while we took pictures. He is also an amazing dress fluffer! Thank you! Also the food was super delicious! THANK YOU HIGHLAND MANOR AND DUBSDREAD CATERING TEAM! I would definitely recommend this venue 100 x over! And sorry to everyone else there that night on staff who made everything perfect, I can not remember everyone's name but everyone deserves a special shout out!
