This place is honestly a GEM. I rarely ever go to Anoka, but I actively seek this place out on my cheat days! You can tell that the ingredients they use are high quality. The people are always super friendly and I have never had a bad experience.
As for their product...Let me just say that I went as soon as they opened and I had a fresh Stockholm (pic 1 & 2), and that was LEGENDARY.
Anyways I am glad I gave this place a chance and you should too!
Things I recommend:
1. Stockholm, especially if its fresh! (If you love cream filled desserts)
2. Lemon Delight (They don't hold back that yummy lemon taste)
For those wondering what each pic is:
1. Stockholm
2. Stockholm Interior
3. Raspberry Almond Delight
4. Almond Twisty
5. Lemon Delight, Stockholm, and Semla

Pretty great bakery. I tried a half dozen different items here. Favorite by far is the sourdough. Came out fresh Saturday morning and was still warm when I got home. Absolutely fantastic. Prices are very reasonable. Pastries are mildly sweet, which is perfect. Pre-packaged items are way too sweet imo. I haven't tried their sandwiches, but given how great everything else has been so far, I'm very excited to come back to try them.
Staff is super friendly and gave useful suggestions when I asked for recommendations.
Only gripe is that this place was kinda hard to find. It was my first time there and the road layout is pretty confusing in the area, the construction as of May 2022 does not make it any easier to find. Plus this is the corner store (pictured). Not a whole lot of seating for eating either. Great for takeouts.

Oh I just loved this place! The food was phenomenal. Everything was delicious and I truly felt like I was nourishing my body with each bite. We also tried 3 different desserts, and they were all exquisite in their own way. The flavor profiles were awesome without tasting like they were dominated by added sugars. The atmosphere is pleasant and homey. We happened to get one of the seats near the window on a rainy day, but keep in mind seating is very limited. That didn't seem to be a concern for any visitors while we were there, as it seemed that everyone was happily grabbing their delightful treats for a cozy day at home. I'd absolutely recommend a visit here if you're in the area!

Love the pastries made here. So many pastries to enjoy not available anywhere else. Traditional Swedish pastries here. Today I had a seasonal Rhubarb Danish.

I honestly can’t believe I haven’t reviewed them sooner! I thought I had and could have added a dozen more pictures. I discovered this amazing bakery about 5 years ago when up here for hockey. We have since gone out of our way every time we are back in MN for hockey. We have gone before and after their renovations. Each time we go it’s better than the last and I honestly don’t know how that is even possible. This trip I walked out with over a dozen pastries, bread, cookies and even grabbed soup for later! Be careful, it is hard to control yourself in there!! They use only the finest and most fresh ingredients, you will never find anything as amazing as their baked goods. The staff is always so friendly and they are so patient as I go through slowly picking our treats. I wish we had anything even remotely as delicious as this in Chicago. Good news for us, we have three trips to MN this hockey season!!

Incredible Swedish baked goods, many gluten free. I was lucky enough to grab a slice of princess cake (which they typically only make on special occasions). Creamy, almond goodness in every bite, and gluten free. The Budapest roll, fruit tangy mixed with cream rolled in meringue, I mean do I need to say more? Oh, and gluten free! We also tried the matrix bar, better than a Twix; almond cookies; cup cake. It’s probably good that it’s located in Anoka, and I’m not! I would definitely have a problem with self-control!
Located in a strip mall for easy parking. And staff are awesome and happy to give product details if needed.

Let me tell you this is an incredible diamond-in-the-rough bakery located in a hidey hole strip mall. One could easily overlook this spot due obvious reasons, but low and behold do not judge a book by its cover. Krown Bakery is punching above its weight in every meaningful way, churning out sumptuous bakery treats that are a class of their own. Their use of delicate flavors such as cardamom, lavender, oat, and berry is masterful. The shortbread crumbles and melts in your mouth. The buns are beautiful and twisted elegantly. Needless to say, the trays are sold out at the end of each day. I've enjoyed similar treats in Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Los Angeles... and Krown hangs with the big kids. I am transported. Krown would be my draft pick for baked goods served in my fantasy coffee shop. You will not be disappointed.

I have to admit that I have not personally been here, but my wife and son LOVE it!!
They have been here to get some of the great food they offer, and any time we are in the area they want to stop by and get something. I will have to try it one of these days soon because they love it so much.
I still give it "3 Borks" (that's a good thing) because I am 50% Swedish...and any chance to use the Swedish Chef in a review is a win in my book.
