Review Al Hamra Halal - Annandale

The best kebab and middle eastern food in Northern VA. I recently went to Europe and went on a business trip for 3 weeks and I was craving for their food for the whole time. Their hummus is THE BEST I EVER HAD. Chicken is amazing, tender and full of flavors. Naan is very chewy, soft, and warm. I've been to India twice and travel occasionally around the world and have not yet tasted this good food. The best customer service in town!!!

Family owned and fabulous, I just discovered this place last week and went back again today; I plan to be a regular customer from now on. It's a very well kept casual dinning experience with a polite and friendly staff. Both times I've went the falafel wrap has been tasty, filling and the food has left my stomach feeling like I just had comfort food made by my mamma. You can tell in the taste and feel that everything really is made wit/ love from scratch. Definitely try it out :)

Phenomenal dining experience. Our table especially enjoyed the naan and hummus along with our main entrees of grilled fish, chicken schwarma and gyro platters. The baklava was so light and tasty. Staff is very friendly and outgoing and tried to entertain a 1 and 3 year old as well. Definitely will return to eat there again before returning to Florida after Labor Day.

Food and service were excellent. I had the chicken tikka masala which was tender and juicy, had great seasoning, and the sauce wasn't too heavy or creamy. The Turkish coffee had fresh cardamom and just the right amount of sugar. Everything tasted very fresh. After our meal the owner gave us a tour of the kitchen (immaculately clean) and showed us how they make their hummus from scratch. Definitely the best option for kabobs/Middle Eastern food in the area.

I have been to Al Hamra couple of times on business meeting. Food is great. Service is even greater. Owner is amazingly friendly. We are meeting there again and can't wait to have the lamb chops again. So good...

Twice, our experience with this family owned restaurant has been superb. The flavors, freshness, and display is to get you to return. I had the lamb chops with salad and rice which was made to perfection!

The only thing better than the food was the customer service. The family-owned restaurant is well worth a visit. The lamb stew was very nice as was the chicken haleem. The rice pudding was a great way to end the meal.

Very family friendly place with amazing food. The owner was so sweet and easy to talk to. He was also very accommodating for my gluten free diet, and even asked if I was celiac to ensure all of his equipment was clean and the food was properly separated.

Food is excellent here. Service is great. Highly recommend Al Hamra. We order lamb and beef kebab. Both very tender and a delicious smokey flavor. It came with two names and amazing home made hummus. Will definitely be back!!

This is our new favorite place to eat. It is a family owned business and the owner makes sure the customers are happy. The food selection is excellent and the quality and taste is unique and fresh. It does not have the generic taste that you get when using the same spices for every dish on the menu. The salad is always fresh and the meats are juicy even when grilled. The grilled fish is my favorite dish on the menu. The chicken karahi is a close second. Me and my friends make sure we stop by this place at least once a week. BTW, if you are a fan of chai and you have always been disappointed by how bad it tastes at all the local desi joints, you're in for a great surprise. Overall I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic service superb food.

Amazing ! I am so happy I found this place! I originally found this place on door dash and was not disappointed. There wasn’t a thing I didn’t love! The sauces are amazing and naan is always warm and soft and the chi peas are amazing! I try and get something different everytime. This is now my go for lunch and it never takes long to get my food when using DoorDash as well. Excellent food!

The place is very welcoming .and neat and clean . The owner is very hospitable and the food is super delicious .The taste is a mixblendof Mediterranean with a slight touch of Pakistani flavour also . The falafels and baklawa and all food is super delicious. One thing I want to mention is the portions are small

The food was fresh and really tasty. Service was a little slow (it’s family run) but nothing extreme. Food is worth waiting for! The lamb Karahi is the best I’ve had and I’ve had quiet a few. Totally recommend.

I had had a stressful day at work and just looked for a small, quiet place to eat dinner. Siddique and his wife were incredibly welcoming and pleasant and treated me as an honored guest. I got the lamb biryani since it was the weekend, and ohmygoodness the lamb melted off the bone. The food was fantastic (I also got hummus), and I am so thrilled Annandale has an authentic, homey place to come to often.

We had over 50 people come for a meeting/mushairah arrangement and dinner event. The food was excellent: mutton qourma, chicken biryani, chicken tikka, and okra with tomato and herbs. Everyone loved it. The service was prompt and excellent as well. The dessert (baklava) was delicious and served with tea and various beverages were available to choose. The food and service made our event more pleasant and successful. Thank you , thank you :)

Had a wonderful overall experience and meal at Al Hamra. The service was exceptional, it's a nice family run restaurant. We had the chicken tikka masala, beef shawarma, and a falafel wrap. Food was pretty good and their hot sauce is amazing.

tasty Pakistani fare. very good chicken haleem and lamb biryani. biryani rice is delicious. naan is soft and tasty. they have kabobs and meat curries, which I have not tried. They also have middle eastern dishes. the service is very friendly. great value. Definitely recommended.

In six month, already went there 12 times with my Family. Food is awesome especially their Nihari, Beef Kebobs & Lamb Biryani is a Must. Excellent service. Their Catering is also very good. Keep it up :)
