Roasting Plant Coffee

Stopped by Roasting Plant Ann Arbor after seeing Roasting plant in Detroit, as it seemed like a cool experience and there were plenty of people inside studying/ socializing. The vibe inside is pretty cool, and the methods they use to make coffee are interesting to watch! The beans for your cup of coffee are stored in containers in the middle of the store, and eventually sucked up through a series of tubes into the machines that they use to make hot/iced coffee respectively. It's a cool process to watch and is definitely entertaining. There's also a decent amount of seating and the place is well lit with plenty of tables and chairs, so there's a good amount of space to study. However, the actual taste of the coffee can be really hit or miss. I ordered a FlashChilled coffee and drank it straight up, the taste was really not great and nothing special. You might as well go to Starbucks, the coffee here is not up to the hype.

This place is ADORABLE! A very urban feel with I'll open doors sents a nice atmosphere, and there is plenty of seating for studying (and more than enough outlets to match). They do focus mostly on coffee than on tea and mixed drinks but that being said everything that my group had tasted good. The prices are comparable to Starbucks so it's not the cheapest but for the quality it's definitely not overpriced.

Briefly worked for the company. Coffee taste wonderful. However management is completely oblivious as how to run a company. Most poorly managed company I ever worked for. Manager here def favorited certain employees (her best friend). She also let certain employees get away with a lot. If you’re looking for a unique coffee experience, this is your place. However be mindful of certain employees
