Was planning on going to Kang’s but it was already closed for the day. We’re not mad tho cause we found this perfect place instead! This is a nice and clean little shop with a homey atmosphere. We were helped by the most attentive waitress, who made sure we were well served even though she seems very busy. We ordered a rich gal bi and a kimchi jigae soup, both were so authentic and comforting, not to mention the refillable ban chan that were also very delicious! Highly recommend this place, we will definitely come back again in the future. Thank you so much for having us!

Friendly student staff, sometimes busy and no seats after 5:30 pm, but great hot stones and good, cozy vibes!

Given the high reviews, I really wanted to like this place and had high expectations. However, the ramen I ordered was not very good.
The vegetables tasted old and the noodles tasted like they came from dry, packaged ramen you can buy at the grocery store.
Pros: a wide menu of Korean food classics, bar style seating is fun
Cons: a little pricey for what it is, not the greatest quality when I went.
If someone really wanted me to go with them, I would go. But as for me, there are other Korean restaurants (Kang’s is my favorite) in the area that I'd much prefer to go to.

I’m visiting from Seattle, and this is the best Korean food I’ve had in years, and definitely the best in Michigan. Truly reminds me of top notch, cozy, home cooked meals. This is a must go place. If I were a student here, I’d eat here everyday. Maybe I’ll have to transfer.

Given the high reviews, I was really excited to try out this place. The waitress who greeted us was really nice, gave us seats in the middle which has enough space apart from other customers.
However, the owner came and blamed the young waitress for her choice in seating arrangements, so we have to move near the corner which is only one seat away from the other customers. You know what is most outrageous?! After we sat down, the owner came up to us again, pointed her finger to the side, and asked us to move over one more seat which is directly right next to the other customers, the distance is even less than 1 inch!! This made us felt very uncomfortable especially she talked in a very rude way. I know this place is tiny, but there are several empty seats in between and not many people came to eat. I don’t understand why this owner treats customers like this. Maybe we are students?? or maybe we are not Korean??
And the food is mediocre compare to other Korean restaurants I went to. I recommend Kang’s next to this place. Better food, Better service.

Good place ran by family. Big menu offers take outs. Tasty food. But, no wifi and not cosy. Bunch of students and tiny inside.
