Food was not very spectacular, but nice looking. I'm not a vegan so I am not the target audience for this restaurant, but regardless it's just average food. I had the Mac and cheese, which of course didn't have cheese, and it was alright. It's a little too bland and too much alone, maybe if made smaller and combined with some side dish it would be much better!
Very nice service from the workers, all of them work hard and are kind to customers. Place has nice decorations and good vibes.
Overall, wouldn't come back here. If you are looking for a vegan place, feel free to try, but don't expect masterful dishes.

The Lunch Room is the best Vegan Restaurant in all of Metro Detroit! (I have been to both locations ) I love the large variety of foods and the weekly dishes from around the world. (the quality of the food is great and the food is always fresh). The Staff is super friendly and very helpful. The setting is a bit cramped but cozy. I love the lights at the front of the restaurant. It is busy at most hours. I eat here at a weekly bases. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've been here more times than I can count and I've always left full and satisfied! I'm a vegetarian and I love it, it's so relieving going to a place where I don't have to ask a million questions to make sure I can eat it. My vegan sister also loves it. On top of that, I've taken some of my friends who eat meat and they loved it too! Some of my favorites are: the Pad Thai, The Detroit Coney Dogs, The Mac & Cheese (and the chili mac!), and the awesome desserts. It's definitely affordable for vegan food, most meals average at around 10 ish dollars. The portions are perfect, usually leaving me with some leftovers. The customer service is great too. I also love the atmosphere of the location, eating on the patio is great for the summer. They deserve the 5 stars!

Coming from someone who is very picky about vegetarian and vegan restaurants, this one is one of my favorites!!! Great food and even amazing pastries, hard to believe they are vegetarian and vegan! The mexican bowl is one of my favorites, I wish they sold their sour cream substitute cause I would be a forever customer.

Three times and still loving it!
Being vegan, this is my haven for food. I had the power bowl with kale cooked to perfection, the roasted marinated tofu so flavorful and the walnuts so crunchy! I could have done with less kale but it was so tasty that I ate it all. The almond milk chai was too strong but adding more almond milk made it great. My daughter has the vegan hotdog which she devoured in a few minutes

I wanted so badly to love this place but I fear my boyfriend and I might have picked the wrong meals. The macaroni and cheese tasted like noodles in butternut squash soup. The Reuben was tasty but nothing to write home about and the coffee was not strong or flavorful. The service was friendly and quick and the venue is very quaint and cute. I would love to come back and give some of their other options a chance.

The ingredients of the Beet Burger that I ordered all seemed fresh. The burger had a nice herbal taste, but the patty was slightly soft for my liking. The service was fast even though it was busy.
