The food is outstanding and the atmosphere like walking into mom's living room with the whole loving family! The menu is memorably handwritten on construction paper taped to the wall and ceilings. Seating inside of about ten tables. Outside parking on gravelled lot. In November 2021, Larry Sharpe stopped here during his campaign for New York Governor.
South 30 Diner. Awesome breakfast experience! Made with love. Just the way I wanted. Marie was so friendly and kind, took our order. Anita the vivacious owner/chef, knows how to make every customer feel welcomed and laughed with everyone as we exchanged stories. Six stars.
I had one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long at this place New Years Day 2022. By chance my wife and I stopped here after looking for Breakfast on our way home to Rhode Island. All I'm going to say is the food was wonderful and the Lovely Lady who owns this place made us very comfortable and one of the best Breakfasts I have had in Awhile! The Potatoes were fantastic as was my Western Omlette!!
Found on Maps looking for lunch today. Wanted a quick diner. After getting there and meeting Anita the need for quick dissipated. Very welcoming and friendly! Both of us had the suggested pork roast plate. Really good and a big serving. Will be a go to place when we are back this way!
Long wait time, short staffed, almost gave them a 3 star for the wait. Very good food, reasonable. Homey. Just don't be in a rush. Sicilian omelette very yummy and filling. Friend had blueberry pancakes. They do take out too.
Visiting the area for the weekend and found this charming place on a whim. The owner/cook is wonderful and friendly and so funny. Very talkative but we don’t mind as it made it even better. There is no menu, food list is on paper all over the restaurant which makes it different but in a good way. All food is made to order (except the desserts of course) and portions are a good size and the prices are reasonable. Will be going back again when we are in the area and it’s nice to go to a place and not feel like another customer but apart of the community.
BTW: we are from FL and have yet to find a place here in NY that does biscuits and gravy the correct southern way, until now. The Biscuits and Gravy was on point, just like my parents use to make and the sausage is made there which is even better!!! 👍
Went to meet a friend for breakfast and decided to check this place out. I was in love from the minute I walked in. Anita seated us, took our orders and was cooking too. I went with the sausage gravy and biscuit with eggs and my date got the Sicilian omelette at Anita's suggestion. The food was fantastic and you could tell Anita loves cooking for people and what she does. She sang us a song to go along with the Sicilian omelette but told us we'd have to come back for the second verse. This place is a gem and worth the drive. I can't wait to go back to hear the second verse!
