Boot Hill Bar & Restaurant

Spent some time at Boot Hill yesterday for a working lunch. The facility is top notch! The attention to detail is unparalleled and the cuisine is impeccable! The small touches (silverware quality) weren't missed either. Overall the ambiance they've created sort of transports you to a different time (in a good way). A time where the focus was put on quality vs quantity and a time where service meant something. Overall, Boot Hill is a true asset to the small town of Amite and I can't wait to go back! Hop off the interstate and give it a try on your next trip north. 😉

I wasn't expecting much. Not a huge fan of Italian. But the veal picata I got was outstanding! I'll come back and eat it again. The only knock I have against this place is a terrible beer selection. You'd think with several good local breweries they would take the opportunity to feature them. They have a great whiskey selection I'll give them that. Our waitress was great and kept my drink full! They had live music the night we went in which we made reservations. The management even helped a group next to us with a surprise cake for a birthday. Overall I look forward to coming back

We stoped in for lunch Saturday not knowing what to expect. We were blown away with the decor as we walked in and were seated right away. Even though we were not drinking, we admired the beautiful bar. Even the bathrooms are awesome! We ordered the special which was exceptional!. And the presentation was top notch. If you get the chance to stop in, you should definitely say hi to Mary, the owner.

We pulled into Amite on a Saturday evening after a full day of traveling and was welcomed as soon as we opened the door. Our waiter, Cole was helpful and friendly. We ordered drinks and a full spread of appetizers for our party of five and before we were finished with those the owner, Mary came to greet us. Told us that they had just recently opened the restaurant, about six months prior and that they were still building their reputation. She kept us entertained all evening and by the time we left, a couple of hours later, we had met about half her family as well as a few local notables. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food and drinks are delicious and the cost is very reasonable. We will definitely return for more fun, while we stay, in Amite. A wonderful addition to the dining options in this sweet town.

Food and service was great , owner was there to even check on service awesome experience.The chef cares about his flavors he makes brief visits when possible just to ask customers how there order tasted. You can tell the owners ,staff and the chefs care about what you think and really want you to be comfortable while you are there . The best experience I have had in a while and it's my 3rd experience and I plan many many more visits highly recommended, thx boot hill .
