Review The Boston Restaurant - Amite

The ambiance of the restaurant is almost as amazing as the food. I had the blackened red fish and my date had the blackened catfish. Both were wonderful. For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake of the month. To day it tasted great would be an understatement. My date took one bite and had to pause for a moment and say how great it tasted. We are definitely coming back.

Surprisingly large and diverse menu! They had a crazy mix of Asian and American food. I had sushi and my husband had a burger. We both liked our entrees but the crawfish dip appetizer was our favorite.

The food was great but the service was horrible! The waitress never returned to the table to check on us. I had to wavy her down for refills and ask her twice for my sushi rolls! After this horrible service, they had the audacity to add a twenty percent automatic tip. We are a family of 6 and I always tip. Tips should be earned and not given! I was visiting from outer state therefore this was my first at your establishment.

Wonderful meal! Service attentive without being intrusive. Burger flavorful, although I'd preferred medium-rare. Must try the 'Happy Ending' dessert.

We live 45 minutes away from The Boston and my wife wanted to try it. We had a decent experience here except the hostess wasn’t very friendly when we walked in. We requested a booth and was told none was available. We would have waited for one but she was very pushy about us getting a table. I wasn’t impressed with her at all. Service was good and we received our food in a timely manner. Now that my wife’s been here, it’s highly doubtful that we’ll be back due to the 45 minute drive and a bad experience with the front of the house.

Service was great. Food was outstanding. Very large portions. Waitress was very friendly. Over all great experience.

My first, but, definitely not my last, visit here! Service was great, prices were nice, and food and portion sizes were amazingly incredible! We had the Crawfish Pepper Jack Cheese Dip and the Flamin' Lips Sushi for our appetizers. My husband had the Hangover Burger and the Seasoned French Fries. I had the Seafood Pesto Pasta with garlic bread and a side salad. Everything was so delicious! We had so much food leftover, we ate out of it again today! I still have pasta that I can eat on tomorrow too!!!

I admit I am a regular customer. When I get a craving for a steak, fish, burgers, stir fry, or sushi. I go to the Boston Restaurant the food is delicious, all the employees are efficient, friendly and helpful. The Restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. Here is a picture of a sushi roll I had recently, it was really good.

2nd time I've eaten there. 1st time - Sat daytime hrs. Very loud. Not a place to bring family for a meal. ( was invited to go with family ) This past Sunday afternoon was the last time. Greeter was rude. Steak strips on lunch menu $ 9.00. Steak strips on Sunday $17.+ Three in my party ordered the same type steaks. We all three recieved different cuts of meat. One was delicious , one was burned ( well past 'well done') & mine was so tough , the steak knife would barely cut it. Sorry Boston - for $60+ for 4 , with waiters/staff acting like they are PO'ed just to be there- we won't be back.

Ok... no flavor in the fried rice..none!!! The stuffed crabs are all bread crumbs you can barely taste the crab.... they were horrible, my husband got a steak it was over cooked n the veggies were raw...the spinach n artichoke appetizer was very plain and the lil breads they serve with it tasted like old grease...the only thing I enjoyed was the dessert... I was VERY VERY disappointed in the food!! We had been wanting to go for awhile, but we won’t be back. �

Usually the food is great. I often get the hot pepper chicken. However, I ordered it today and it was terrible! It tasted like they had added some sort of vinegar to it. I couldn’t even eat it. All in all the food is typically very good.

We had the ribeye steak, best steak I've had so far! Dang near melts in you mouth! I highly recommend "The Boston"

Since Todd left Cate Street, we might as well go to The Boston. Same menu plus the wok menu! We can share a Lo Mein it’s such a large portion! And they make an awesome dirty martini 🍸

Baked potatoes served for dinner only not lunch.. Went for New York Strip Steak but settled for lunch pork chop. I don't eat steak without baked potato!!!!!!! Drove from out of town to eat the steak and was disappointed I didn't get to try it. Maybe another time,, ???? Other than that I would say nice place. My chop was ok just had mouth set on Steak and Potato.

Arrived on Sunday a few minutes before 1:00. Waited less than 5 minutes for a table and they were super busy. Server brought drinks promptly and food and appetizer came out together which wasn't an issue for us, since we had Sushi and a couple of Asian dishes. Love the Mandarin Chicken. Lots of food for the dollar spent. Always have a to go box and The Boston hasn't disappointed us yet. Keep up the good work. Great place!!

The Restaurant was extremely busy, so that was an indication that it is a popular place. The Atmosphere was nice, the waitress was friendly; however, we had a 45 minute to 1 hour wait at 7:30 p.m. Now the real critique, THE FOOD!!! Our party of three all agreed that the food came out a bit too salty to our liking. I think it could have been the marinade?

We had the filet last night. It was the best steak we have had anywhere. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Great food & great service. Our waitress remembered us from our visit in March when we were in town for the Amite Marketplace.

We had dinner there last night and it was delicious. And the service was excellent, everything that we ask for was perfect. And any questions we asked Michael, our server were answered immediately. He didn't have to go ask anybody in the kitchen or anything like that he knew everything. Even though they were very busy they treated us like we were the only people there. We've been there before and we'll be going there again! If you haven't been there before you definitely need to go, they are an addiction.

Restaurant itself was nice. We’re disappointed that we could not get the tv facing us changed to Saints game and never were given a reason. Very large...maybe too large a selection of food. Wait time was excessive and food was okay. I ordered the Chicken Parm with no Marinara. All I got was plain unsalted pasta : ( Waiter was friendly and good sweet tea!

We got the Fried green tomatoes, grilled shrimp salad and the sushi pizza. It was all delicious. And the service and atmosphere were great!

We eat at The Boston several times a month and enjoy the beautiful ride from Watson. The food is awesome, the staff is wonderful and we enjoy the cozy atmosphere. I have recommended The Boston to my friends and family. A+++ experience each time we have gone!!!

Why do cooks never like cooking well done steaks? Every restaurant we’ve been to we always have to send the steak back and this place was no different.
