The Vinyl Cafe is a must visit in Ames. It has a ton of interesting records to flip through and look at. The owner/barista is awesome, friendly and attentive - wish I caught his name. There is some of the most uniquely crafted coffees you'll find here - I had a banana and hazelnut latte that tasted just like a banana. The menu is extensive, so take your pick. They have free wifi and power outlets for those wishing to study or get work done. Great hangout spot. Fantastic background music. Highly recommend!

Coolest study/chill hangout spot in ames. Nobody makes better coffee, their ingredients are top notch. I keep coming back to try all the flavors and flip through the extensive record collection.

Best coffee and coffee blended drinks in Story County. Why spend more for bad coffee elsewhere when you can get excellence for less here? They will happily make you something off-menu too. A great selection of LPs and good, used stereo equipment. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a small place and popular, so there can sometimes be a bit of a wait but the quality of the coffee makes it worthwhile. Quirky, fun, eclectic, locally owned little shop. One of Ames' hidden gems.

Great coffee and vibes. The owner is really kind and is a great barista. It is loud and sometimes busy, but is a great place to hang out and socialize or study if you don't need the quiet.

LOVE this place!! I brought my friend here this past weekend since I've been dying to check it out, and I'm so glad we went. They're just starting to make coffee again but the owner, Blake, let us come in and look at all of the vinyl they have. We ended up staying for about two hours just talking about music! Definitely will start going on a regular basis!

The best part about this place is the atmosphere and the coffee. The record selection isn't expansive but throws a few surprises at you now and again. Try the Barry White!

The best barista in town! Delicious drinks and the ability to create your own flavor combinations. A great place to catch up with friends on a Sunday afternoon. If you haven't been here, you need to check it out!
