Truly one of the bright spots of American Canyon. I got to meet the new owners of this amazing Cafe. They are wonderful people who plan on continuing the legacy of a restaurant. The food is filling and tastes great. But the service is the best part of the experience. It's right off the main road and easy to find. I cannot reccomend this place enough.
New owners, long time locals. They appear vested in making sure you enjoy your food. Service with a smile is greatly appreciated.

I’m a fan of diners. I enjoyed stopping in for comfort food while traveling on business. Canyon Cafe did NOT disappoint. It was a great dining experience!!
I enjoyed every bite of my oversized 3 egg omelette stuffed with the flavorful ingredients of choice. The pieces of the omelette stuffings/fixin’s were large which and cooked perfectly.
My server was Michael, one of the new owners (along with his brother and sister). His positive attitude reflected his pride of ownership and it was fun hearing him share the story of how and his siblings became owners recently of a 50 year old diner. Based on his personal touch I’m confident the siblings will turn this aged diner into a spruced-up diner.
The quality of food was exceptional!! Every part of my customized order was made to perfection. Portions are more than generous! Canyon academy was the perfect stop for a late brunch on a day I missed breakfast.

Local diner with good food and good service! We had the ham and Swiss omelette and the Denver omelette.
Had a great experience at Canyon Cafe! Visited on Sun 11am, we were lucky to get a corner booth. Our server, Melissa, was very prompt and attentive. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, home made biscuits! This is a half order. The bacon was perfectly crispy/chewy, hash browns were perfect too. My family loved the pancakes, omelet and cheeseburger! Would come back again for sure!
We visited here multiple times because our hotel was right across the street (and the hotel had an outrageously priced grab and go burrito as it’s only option). Canyon was what you would expect from a diner. It was good portions, reasonably priced and decent food. Staff was friendly and kept the coffee full.
I lived in Vallejo for over 20 years and never visited this hidden gem. Is rough looking from the outside and the area is truly a country style dinner. It you can get over that, ones you are inside you are in for an amazing experience with the sitting areas that is very spacious and nostalgic old school but we'll care for. Our host Kristen was very tentative to our needs and made great suggestion.
Prices are fair for the size of your meals. We order classic burgers omelette and a special of the day pork chops that where amazing.
I will come back to this dinner more often specially for their house potatoes, oh my delish!!!

New owner's took over November 1st.....they are planning some great improvements to the grounds.....but the great food, and portions.....will remain the same!
